Cooper Eli Miller, 7, of Sweet Home died April 6, 2010 after a two-year battle with JMML, a rare type of leukemia.
He was born Oct. 12, 2002 in Lebanon to Chester L. and Kerry Anne (Davenport) Miller. He lived in Sweet Home all his life.
Cooper attended Little Promises for many years. He also attended Collins Kids. Cooper loved camping, hunting, fishing,
horseback riding and four wheeling and the outdoors in general. He enjoyed playing video games. He was a big Oregon Duck football fan.
Cooper always had a positive outlook, even until the end and you always left with a smile on your face after seeing him. He was a favorite patient of the doctors and nurses at Doernbecker’s Children’s Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Chester and Kerry Miller; brother Jayce Miller; grandparents Rik and Lynnie Davenport, Kathy Davenport, Chester and Julia Miller and Barbara Huffman; great-grandparents Lance and Adeline Davenport; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service is planned at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Cooper Miller Donation Account at Umpqua Bank.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
