Obituary: Denise Hagi

Denise Ellen Hagi, 55, of Sweet Home died at her home on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.

She was born in Chicago, Ill., to Arvid and June Anderson.

She moved to Sweet Home in 1991 with her husband, Al; daughter, Krystal; and son, Albert.

Mrs. Hagi played worship music for the past five years at The Rez Church in the Foster area with her daughter and son. She loved God and always made sure to share Jesus with everyone she met.

Her hobbies were playing the guitar, praising God and working on cars. She was a stay-at-home mom and housewife. She homeschooled her children, and she loved her family and was always there for anyone who ever needed a hand.

Mrs. Hagi is survived by her husband, Albert B. Hagi Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Krystal and Mike Jarvis of Sweet Home; son, Albert B. Hagi III of Sweet Home; one grandson; father, Arvid Anderson of Sweet Home; brothers, Dennis Anderson of River Grove, Ill., Donald Anderson of Cary, Ill., and Steven Anderson of Sweet Home; and sisters, Susan Slezak and Cheryl Lewis of Chicago, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her mother, June Anderson.

A celebration of Mrs. Hagi’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Rez Church. Her daughter and son will perform her favorite worship songs.

In lieu of flowers, persons may donate checks to the Rez Church or gift cards to help with medical expenses.
