DeVere Leonard Anderson, 75, of Sweet Home died Aug. 30, 2010. He was born Dec. 5, 1934 in Blue Earth, Minn. to Leonard N. Anderson and Hazel E. Anderson.
He lived in Worthington, Minnesota, San Diego, Calif. and Sweet Home.
Mr. Anderson received his bachelor’s degree of education from Mankato State University in Minnesota. He earned his master’s degree in education from Oregon State University.
He was a math and science teacher for 37 years and was a member of College Center Covenant Church in San Diego, Calif. He attended Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
He enjoyed music, gardening and his grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his son, Nathan of San Diego; daughter Carol and son-in-law Greg Maas of Lebanon; son Mathew of Lebanon; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene F. Anderson in 1997.
A memorial service was held Sept. 3 at Sweet Home Evangelical Church. Final burial will be at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego.
