Guy “Sonny” Stepp, 74, of Brownsville died Jan. 30, 2010.
He was born March 14, 1935 in Wichita, Kan. to Norman Edward and Beulah (Whiteside) Stepp.
He came to Oregon as a child in 1939 and resided in Brownsville all his life. He married Norma on Sept. 10, 1955 in Brownsville.
Mr. Stepp worked as a timber faller until he suffered a disabling injury in a logging accident in 1979. Prior to his accident he enjoyed rodeo, his horses and cattle. After his injury he did small projects with his hands to keep himself busy.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Stepp of Brownsville; children Debbie and Cathy; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, also at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
