Harvey D. Gaskey, 78, of Sweet Home died Sept. 8, 2009 at Avamere Rehabilitation of Lebanon.
He was born April 27, 1931 in McCurtain County, Okla. to Edward and Alice (Ferguson) Gaskey.
Mr. Gaskey grew up in Oklahoma.
He later moved to Sweet Home and worked in the plywood industry all of his life. He retired from the Willamette Industries Sweet Home plywood mill in 1993.
He loved to spend his time fishing, hunting, being with family, and gardening.
Mr. Gaskey is survived by his daughters, Donna Vinson of Lebanon, Elaine Peargin of Hood River and Debbie Pitts of Sweet Home; sons Bruce Gaskey of Sweet Home, Steve Gaskey of Sweet Home, Wade Gaskey of Springfield and Elvie Gaskey of Prineville; brothers Edward Gaskey of Lebanon and Arvel Gaskey of Wright City, Okla.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ted, Earl, and Delbert Gaskey.
Private family services will be held.
