Obituary: Inez Tyler

Inez W. Tyler, 95, of Lebanon died Oct. 17, 2010.

She was born Aug. 10, 1915 in Lexington to Roy Edward and Helen G. (Kirk) Tyler.

Ms. Tyler lived in Willamina, West Stayton and Berlin before moving to Lebanon in 1937. She has worked as a bank teller and worked in a children’s home in Palmer, Alaska, for nine years. She taught elementary school for five years in Alaska and 15 years in Oregon in a Christian school in Sweet Home.

She loved gardening, sewing, hiking and horseback riding.

Ms. Tyler is survived by her sisters Mary Nelson and Louise Meiling of Lebanon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Oregon.

She was preceded in death by eight sisters and brothers: Elma Stewart, Loten Tyler, Everett Tyler, Sam Tyler, Mildred Henkle,

Cora Cantrell, Rosalie Tyler, Edward Tyler, mother Helen Tyler and father Royal E. Tyler.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, at Waterloo Community Chapel.
