James Ramey, 84, of Sweet Home died at home on May 12, 2010.
He was born Jan. 20, 1926 in Shubuta, Miss., to Lucius and Eva Ramsey.
He married Jo Cleta (Jody) Cheek on Sept. 26, 1947 in Bend. They moved to Sweet Home in spring 1948 and raised a family.
Mr. Ramey retired from Crown Zellerbach after 22 years as a journeyman millwright.
