Marie Anna Smith, 72, of Brownsville died early in the morning of Aug. 11, 2009.
She was born Nov. 15, 1937 in Eugene to Jean and Marie (Bivens) Pirtle. She lived in Coos Bay, North Bend, Eugene, Junction City and Brownsville, where she moved from Junction City in 1977.
She was a certified nursing assistant and worked at the Mennonite Home.
Her hobbies included crocheting.
She is survived by a son, Thom Worley of Brownsville, and a daughter Dianna Fries of Brownsville; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.)
She was preceded in death by spouses Sherman Worley, William Stanley and Stanley Smith; father Jean O. Pirtle; mother Marie A. Bivens Pirtle; and two brothers.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. No services are planned.
