Marvin M. Winslow, 83, died Aug. 21, 2010 at his home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1927 in Burlington, Colo., the son of Fremont and Carry (Shelton) Winslow.
He traveled the United States, working in construction until coming to Sweet Home in 1954. He worked in the timber industry and was a foreman at Mid Plywood. He also spent 30 years as a cat skinner and backhoe operator for Yoder Excavation, and managed the Holiday Mobile Park for more then 20 years.
Mr. Winslow is survived by his sons, Duane and wife, Maggie, and Butch and wife. Karen; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters; his wife of 47 years, Wilma; and companion of 17 years,
Thelma Rick.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Gilliland Cemetery.
