Many of her relatives lived in Sweet Home, including two brothers, Orlen and Al Danielson, their families; brother-in-law Tom Hyer; and sisters-in-law Mona Hyer Waibel and Reeta Bryant and families.

Mr. and Mrs. Hyer loved to square dance and spent many happy years dancing with friends. In 1995, they were in a vehicle accident on Spicer Drive between Lebanon and Albany. Mr. Hyer was killed. Mrs. Hyer was severely hurt but recovered.

She joined the Red Hat Club ladies and enjoyed that very much. The Hyers were members of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Eugene during their married life.

A funeral service was held there for Mildred Danielson Hyer on April 16.

Mrs. Hyer was survived by one sister, Gladys; two children, Jamie Hyer and Melanie Lund; and three grandchildren.
