Robert Harold (Thacker) Smith, 75, of Crawfordsville, died April 23, 2010.
He was born April 9, 1935 in Sedro-Wooley, Wash. His family later moved to Sweet Home, where he grew up before enlisting in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 as a Seabee.
Mr. Smith served for 20 years around the world, including a combat tour in Vietnam.
