Shirley Mae Morgan, 72, of Albany died Dec. 13, 2009 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1937 in Hartington, Neb., to Leo and Juritta (Shelton) Corson. She came to Oregon as a girl.
She married J.W. Morgan on Sept. 26, 1955 in Albany, where she recently moved after living most of her adult life in Sweet Home. She liked country music and two-step dancing with her husband. Mrs. Morgan was active at the VFW Hall in Sweet Home. More recently, she enjoyed trips to the coast and family outings.
She is survived by her daughter Catherine Johnson and son-in-law John of Albany; two grandchildren; and sisters Bertha Stephens of Washington, Vergie Giddings of Oregon and Vera Wood of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.W. in 2002; daughter Nancy Mae Iorns in 2006; two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service was held Dec. 17 at Fisher Funeral Home with committal following at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
