Orville Forister, 89, passed away on Sept. 22, 2012 at the Norman Veterans Center in Oklahoma.
Orville was born on Oct. 25, 1922 in Okmulgee, Okla. to Frank Evert and Una Mae (Simpson) Forister.
Orville proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II while stationed in Germany. He worked many years as a millwright, welder and electrician for Willamette Industries.
Orville enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy Dean (Collins) Forister; and sister Ruth Mars.
Survivors include his four daughters, Jimmie D. Banta and husband James, Dr. Carolyn S. Forister-Chemel and husband David, Katherine A. Keller and husband Don, Jeanette K. Westlund and fiancé Craig Bondy; grandchildren Don Harris, Jennifer Kroll, Shawn Lindley, Joshua, Adam and Sarah Keller, Christopher and Amanda Chemel; great-grandchildren Twyla J Chemel, Gavin and Maggie Keller, Connor and Emma Kroll; siblings, Lowell Forister and wife Ernestine, Bob Brown and wife Shirley, and Nora Fanning; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Sept. 27, 2012 at the Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Midwest City, Okla.
