Patricia “Pat” Cornett, 79, of Sweet Home died Nov. 11, 2007.
She was born May 3, 1928 in Echo, Utah, to George and Lenora Elizabeth (Bromley) Toone.
Mrs. Cornett was an avid outdoorswoman who loved to hunt and fish. She also was an excellent cook and loved to cook for family and friends. She had recently taken up oil painting and painted beautiful landscapes. She was self-employed for most of her life, there was no challenge too big for her.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann and husband Sid Gulley of Sweet Home, Barbara Johnson of John Day, Mitzie and husband “Junior” Herbert Wilson of Silverton; and Georgia and husband George Hoerauf of Salem; sons, Paul and wife Laura Anderson of Silverton and Carl Anderson of Corvallis; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Cornett’s request there will be no services. Private interment will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
Donations in Mrs. Cornett’s name can be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice or Safehaven Humane Society.
