Patricia Ann Malby, 81, of Sweet Home died June 17, 2014.
She was born Aug. 15, 1932 in Geneva, Wis. to Clifford and Wilma (Gall) Costello.
She came to Oregon in 1961 and lived in the Scio area a year before moving to Berlin. In 1972 she moved to the Scott Mountain area of Sweet Home where she made her home.
Mrs. Malby enjoyed working with the disabled and worked at the Springer House Group Home more than a decade. She retired in 2005.
Her hobbies included coin collecting, playing cards, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoyed going for long rides on ATV’s. She owned horses and in her younger days she loved riding them.
Mrs. Malby is survived by her sons, Robert and daughter-in-law Rhonda Miller of Sweet Home, and Mike and daughter-in-law Laura Malby of Green Bay, Wis.; daughter Sue and son-in-law Steve Allard of Scio; seven grandchildren, and many great- and great-great-grandchldren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Malby (2000); son John R. Malby (2004); and brother Charles Costello (1986).
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Highway 20 Church of Christ.
