Paul Douglas Hamilton

Paul “Sasquatch” Douglas Hamilton, 50, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1958 in Witchita, Kan., to Tom and Jaunita (Anderson) Hamilton. He grew up in Haysville, Kan.

He worked as an ironworker across the United States. He was a member of Ironworker Union Local 29.He loved riding his Harley, shooting guns and driving around in the mountains with his dog Sinner. He enjoyed hanging at the hood with his homies.

Mr. Hamilton is survived by daughter Kelli and her husband, Mark Dodge, of Sweet Home; sister, Thomasina and her husband, Ralph Simpson, of Monte Sereno, Calif.; brothers, David Smith and Doug Smith both of Corvallis; granddaughter, Brooke Dodge of Sweet Home; nephew, Nickolas Smith of Crawfordsville; and long time caregiver and friend Trudi Gregersen and beloved dog Sinner.

He was preceded in death by Juanita and Bill Shelley and Tom Hamilton.

A viewing will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Lewis Cemetery.

Contributions to help defray costs can be made in Mr. Hamilton’s memory to Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
