Wade Paulus will participate in the 61st Annual East-West Shrine All Star Football Game Saturday, Aug. 3, at Baker High School.
Mitch Keenon was selected as an alternate, both for the East team in the game that brings together some of the best graduating high school football players from Oregon 1A through 4A divisions in a game to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals.
The East team, coached by , includes players from Newport, Philomath, North Valley, Hidden Valley, Cascade, Central, Central Linn, Western McEwen, Stanfield, Coquille, Baker, Nyssa, Burns, Lakeview, Cascade Christian, La Grande, Bonanza, Kennedy, Crane, Imbler, Gold Beach, Powder, Cove and Sherman.
Events in Baker include breakfast in Geiser Pollman Park from 6:30 to 10 a.m. with a parade through downtown at 10 a.m. and pre-game activities beginning at 11:30 a.m. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at the Baker High School Football Stadium.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $12 for reserved seats.

The East cheer squad will include Taylor Thorpe, Natalie Thorpe, Breanna Froemke, Alex Olin and Mikayla Crompton of Sweet Home.
Cheerleaders are chosen based on their athletics and their coach’s recommendations and those named to the 1A/2A/3A/4A All-State Team are automatically given spots on the team.
