Pedestrian struck on Long Street expected to survive after critical injuries

A 56-year old woman remained hospitalized Monday after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Long Street on March 4.

Sweet Home paramedics transported Joy Thorson of Sweet Home to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, said Sweet Home Police Chief Jeff Lynn. Later, she was transferred to Oregon Health Sciences University. Indications were the injuries were not life-threatening.

She remained listed in critical condition at the end of the week but was scheduled to move out…
