Peggy Joyce Robertson, 84, longtime resident of Brownsville, passed away Tuesday in Albany. She was born in Pollard, Arkansas to Cecil and Betty (Benson) Karnes.
Peggy moved to Bandon in 1954, eventually moving to Sweet Home in 1963.
She worked at White’s Electronics from 1975-1994. She had been a member of Cornerstone Fellowship since 1986.
Peggy met Ben Robertson in April of 1950 and they married six months later on October 28, 1950. They have been married for 68 years.
She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and hunting. She loved her family and grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her husband Ben Robertson; children: Benny Neil, Rick, Darlene Townsend; sister Pat; brother Pete; seven grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son David Robertson; grandson Micah Townsend; a brother and sister.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Cornerstone Fellowship.
