An equipment problem has caused problems for 145 residences and three businesses that use Comcast for their phones, internet or cable TV, a company spokesman said.
Service went down around noon and is expected to resume about 3 p.m., said Khalid Maxie, a Comcast representative.
The section of Sweet Home affected is between 10th and 14th avenues, and Kalmia to Cedar streets.
Maxie said 118 residences are without cable, 141 residence and three businesses are without internet, and 76 residences and three businesses, including The New Era, do not have phone service.
He said the problem is as technical one, in a local Comcast plant, and crews are working on it.
