The Sweet Home Planning Commission presented its annual Quality Development Awards during its regular meeting held on April 6.
It presented three awards. One went to Foster Lake Market, formerly Lakeside Market, for improvements to the storefront, including a new awning, and paving.
Another award went to Bi-Mart for construction of its new store in Sweet Home.
A third award went to Bill Baitinger for his work maintaining the entrance to Sweet Home on Highway 228 at the intersection with Fern Ridge and Rowell Hill roads.
“We feel privileged to honor people who have made contributions to making Sweet Home a better place,” said Planning Commission Chairman Henry Wolthuis.
The commission also sent a letter of congratulations to T2 for its improvements along Highway 20 west of Sweet Home.
