Sweet Home Police Chief Bob Burford is asking that residents remember to dial 911 for ambulance and fire service starting on Oct. 17.
Burford is concerned that some longtime Sweet Home residents may encounter delays when seeking fire or ambulance services if they continue using old seven-digit emergency phone numbers.
Prior to the implementation of the 911 system, residents seeking emergency services would call a standard “367” phone number designated specifically for emergencies, Burford said.…
