Police Logs: Jan. 15, 2025

Jan. 6

10:09 a.m. – Stephanie Starkweather, 37, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in a third-degree theft case, and a Linn County Circuit Court warrant in a drug possession case. Cited and released. 1200 block Long St.

1:56 p.m. – Crash reported in 1000 block Pleasant Valley Road. Medical condition suspected as cause. Upon arrival, deputies found evidence of a single-vehicle crash in which a 2015 Volkswagen Golf was traveling south on Pleasant Valley Road, drifted across the northbound lane entering the ditch, went through a fence and came to rest about 125 feet from the road

Deputies located a single occupant, Harold Partridge, 88, of Sweet Home, deceased in the vehicle. Partridge had no signs of obvious trauma from the crash and has a history of medical issues. Report taken.

5:24 p.m. – Deputies received a report of an explosion in the area of High Deck Road and Hwy. 20. Deputies determined this was likely from a road crew working on clearing a landslide using explosives.

 

Jan. 7

7:14 a.m. – Deputy took report of unlawful harvest of bear grass in area of Canyon Creek Rd./Hwy. 20. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

8:18 a.m. – Deputy responded to report of crash near Milepost 5 on Canyon Creek Road. The crash had occurred the night before.  Michael Smith, 40,  and Amber Smith, 39, both of Lebanon were in a 2002 Ford, with Michael Smith operating the vehicle on a timber road in Canyon Creek area. They went off the road and walked out to a ride home. Deputy contacted them at home. Report taken.

10:05 a.m. – Katherine Ann Belcher, 51, arrested by Lebanon police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a criminal conspiracy charge. Cited to appear Jan. 22.

10:28 a.m. – Shane Lindseth, 47, of Sweet Home, arrested for trespass and multiple warrants, 1000 block North River Dr.  Lodged at Linn County Jail. Report taken.

12:14 p.m. – Alicia Nicole Shaddon, 26, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in a third-degree criminal mischief case, and Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation on a second-degree theft charge. Cited and released. 600 block Main St.

1:59 p.m. – Jerrod H. Karch, 48, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, interfering with a peace officer, disorderly conduct and third-degree escape following report of trespass involving uncooperative male in 27400 block Riggs Hill Rd.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, Karch “chose to refuse commands and leave the property he was trespassing on.” Report taken.

2:36 p.m. – Caleb Funk, 26, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 79/55, 27600 block Hwy. 20.  

 

Jan. 8

12:09 a.m. – Jason Dale Roy Avery, 32, arrested after traffic stop on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in a harassment case, and Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in a driving while suspended case. Cited and released. Also, Avery and Bryan Curran, 32, were both cited for speed racing in 4800 block Main St. Avery also cited for driving while suspended.

1:52 a.m. – Jody Kinsfather, 43, of Lebanon, cited for driving while suspended and for warrant, Main and Morton streets.

5:47 a.m. – Luke Thomas Ludwig, 39, arrested in Benton County on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in a criminal mischief case. Cited to appear Jan. 22.

5:59 a.m. – Non-injury crash reported at Lacomb Drive/Bellinger Scale Road. Further details not available.

7:01 a.m. – Multiple callers reported male walking down middle of road on Main Street, jumping in front of vehicles and fighting imaginary people. Officer responded, contacted male who was experiencing mental health issues. He calmed down and agreed to take a break.

7:40 a.m. – Mathew Lee Mustoe, 41, arrested after traffic stop on Linn County Circuit Court  warrant for unlawful use of weapon. Lodged at Linn County Jail. 1500 block Main St.

10:42 a.m. – Ann Pollock cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 1200 block 18th Ave.

1:03 p.m. – Karen Joyce Woodford, 62, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass after caller reported having video of female entering home without permission. Cited and released. 3100 block Main St.

1:52 p.m. – Amanda Sciscioli cited for speeding, 40/20, 900 block 22nd Ave.

3:20 p.m. – Officer responded to report of firearms denial at Bimart, 1980 Main St. Investigation continuing.

3:53 p.m. – Nicholas Nathan Nivison, 32, cited for no valid operator’s license, 15th Ave./Main St.

4:18 p.m. – Saxena Sarthak, 26, cited for speeding, Hwy. 20/Santiam Terrace.

 

Jan. 9

6:38 a.m. – Caller reported broken window in 1200 block 49th Ave.

7:20 a.m. – Caller reported male deceased in 600 block 5th Ave. Officer responded, conducted death investigation, report taken.

7:45 a.m. – Caller reported criminal mischief on CTC property in 47300 block Quartzville Rd. This was the damage value of a very large tree that was cut down belonging to Cascade Timber Consulting. About $750 worth of damage to tree.

8:01 a.m. – Caller requested extra patrol in area after evicted tenants continued to remove and damage property in 27900 block Riggs Hill Rd.

9:27 a.m. – Scott David Citro arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in reckless driving case. Cited and released.

12:07 p.m. – Caller reported death in 1100 block 45th Ave. Officer responded, conducted death investigation, report taken.

2:01 p.m. – Christian Jacob Boatwright arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in trespassing case. Also cited for speeding, driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance. Cited and released. 5900 block Main St.

2:35 p.m. – Aaron David Ray Collins cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, 2200 block Long St.

2:57 p.m. – Casey Davis, 23, of Corvallis, cited for Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation after deputy on routine park patrol spotted her in 6300 block Hwy. 20. Report taken.

9:05 p.m. – Aaric Martinez Munoz, 34, arrested for criminal conspiracy, second-degree theft, 100 block W. Holley Rd. Cited and released.

 

Jan. 10

 

8:06 a.m. – Clifford Lawrence Stoner arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on contempt and criminal mischief cases. Cited and released.  1100 block Long St.

9:15 a.m. – Cody Allen Bowman arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear in two theft cases. Cited and released. Long/Mountain View.

11:00 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office personnel, attempting warrant service discovered male unconscious and unresponsive in 27000 block High Deck Rd. Deputies administered Narcan and performed CPR.  The warrant was for 61-year-old John Mullner of Cascadia. Medics transported him to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. As of Jan. 13, was he was still in critical condition at the hospital.  Report taken.

11:00 a.m. – Deputy conducted investigation after two dogs were found dead in 38400 block Glass St., Crawfordsville. The two dogs were found deceased on the other side of town to where they were known to live. The owner suspects they were shot by someone and left. Investigation continuing.

11:06 a.m. – Christian Michael Rogers arrested by Albany police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear in multiple theft and trespass cases. Cited to appear Feb. 12.

12:29 p.m. – Michael Todd Rosencrantz arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in theft case. Cited and released.

2:45 p.m. – Nick Nivison, 32, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, second degree criminal trespass and contempt of court. Shahala Stockwell, 21, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal trespass, 27100 block High Deck Rd.  They were both located on a property they were not allowed to be. When located, they were allegedly damaging a motorhome in which they were also not allowed to be. Both lodged at Linn County Jail.

2:48 p.m. – Sheri Yvonne Bower arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear in five criminal trespass cases, offensive littering case, Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear in possession of meth case, Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply, and Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in criminal trespass case. 1200 block Long St. Cited and released.

4:33 p.m. – Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 49, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear or comply in criminal trespass cases and an assault case. Cited and released.

4:34 p.m. – Amy Danielle Ward, 41, arrested at Linn County Jail on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in theft case. Cited to appear Feb. 12.

 

Jan. 11

3:18 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash reported in 45600 block Quartzville Rd. Kody Maple, 23, of Lebanon, was test-driving a friend’s 2002 Ford Mustang when he failed to negotiate a corner and slid off the roadway. The vehicle owner , who was a  passenger, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital. Report taken.

4:40 p.m. – Caller reported wallet was stolen and someone had tried to use cards that were in it. Officer responded. Report taken for third-degree theft. 2400 block Long St.

5:29 p.m. – Daniel Jazmin cited for failure to carry registration, failure to carry proof of insurance, operating without proper lights. 18th Ave./Main St.

7:12 p.m. – Launa Michelle Periman, 51, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass after, according to police, caller reported that his mother, who had previously been trespassed, walked into his residence and started threatening him. Cited and released. 1000 block 13th Ave.

 

Jan. 12

9:21 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office reported wires down, pole fire in 200 block Osage St. Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance personnel responded.

11:16 a.m. – Caller reported someone had stolen her ID out of her wallet. Officer responded. Report taken for third-degree theft. Estimated value of loss $40. 6200 block Main St.

11:42 a.m. – Caller reported someone broke into vehicle in 4400 block Long St. Officer responded. Report taken for unauthorized entry into motor vehicle. No damage to vehicle. No items missing.

1:30 p.m. – Caller reported burglary in 27000 block High Deck Rd. A backpack and luggage, along with miscellaneous power tools, were stolen from the home. Valued at $950. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

1:52 p.m. – Caller reported dog had attacked male in 4200 block Main St. Officer responded and contacted victim. Bite had not broken skin, so no need for quarantine. Owner advised of city ordinance.

6:14 p.m. – Multiple callers reported vehicle in ditch at Shea Point rest area. According to police, James Michael Seavers, 79, of Newport, was driving a 2022 Toyota Tundra pickup and was unfamiliar with the area, driving into a ditch as he pulled into the rest area. No injuries. Under $2,500 damages. Driver called tow truck.

7:45 p.m. – Jordan Michelle Sele, 36, cited for driving while suspended, failure to obey traffic control device, 1500 block Long St.

8:20 p.m. – Jessica Williams, 47, cited for driving uninsured, 40th Ave./Osage St.

8:36 p.m. – Jeremy Heathington, 49, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, 4300 block Main St.

9:27 p.m. – Denis Parker, 45, of Sweet Home, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, giving false information to peace officer, failure to carry and present driver’s license. Lodged in Linn County Jail on warrant. 47400 block High Deck Rd.  Report taken. Hwy. 20/High Deck Rd.
