8:04 a.m. – Caller reported that she was supposed to have diamond bracelet delivered via U.S. Postal Service and package never arrived. 31100 block 2nd St. Investigation going. Report taken for theft.
9:21 a.m. – LCSO, OSP and DEQ received numerous calls from individual in 41300 block Baptist Church Dr. who was suffering “mental health crisis,” according to LCSO. Deputies had responded almost daily over previous week to this location for mental health issues. Citizen has been encouraged to seek mental health treatment. LCSO has determined citizen is not in immediate danger to self or others. Effort to contact Linn County Mental Health unsuccessful.
10:35 a.m. – Fraud reported in 37200 block James Place involving purchases on PayPal account. Loss estimated at $2,700. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
1:47 p.m. – LCSO investigated dog bite in 31000 block Berlin Rd. Juvenile victim sustained “single minor scratch.” Quarantine order issued for dog. Report taken.
1:52 p.m. – Timothy Hawkins, 60, of Lebanon, arrested for DUII after traffic stop in area of Brewster Rd./Golden Valley Dr. According to LCSO, the arresting deputy knew Hawkins and stopped him on suspicion of driving while uninsured .During the stop, deputy noticed signs of intoxication and Hawkins was transported to Linn County Jail, where a blood alcohol test indicated .03%, according to LCSO, which also reported that Hawkins admitted to use of controlled substance as well as alcohol. He was charged with DUII, reckless driving, driving while suspended, failure to use ignition interlock device, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, a LMC warrant and an AMC warrant. Report taken.
2:04 p.m. – Crash reported in area of Denny School Rd./Oak St. Two vehicles, one rear-ended the other. According to LCSO, Kaya Humble, 23, of Lebanon, was northbound on Denny School in a 2015 Honda Civic when she stopped for a vehicle in the road. A 2017 Nissan Altima driven by Dani Gray, 54, of Salem, crashed into the back of Humble’s Honda. Report taken.

3:26 p.m. – Citizen flagged down officer to express concerns about elderly female pushing walker on Hwy. 20, 621 Main St. Officer responded, located female, provided courtesy transport.

2:07 p.m. – Caller reported driver from Sweet Home speeding, splitting lanes, flashers on, running red lights. Driver went into Urgent Care, then left. Officer pulled driver over and learned the passenger had a power tool accident, hand is cut and finger is hanging.
3:04 p.m. – Walmart customer got cash back from machine but forgot to grab it. Video shows customers after her took it. She wants to press theft charges. Loss: $60.
3:40 p.m. – Theft of Top Ramen reported at Walmart. Loss: $4. Stolen by the same customers who took the $60 cash reported above.
4:40 p.m. – Caller saw pedestrian yelling at vehicles, running in and out of traffic near Safeway. Car hit pedestrian, pedestrian ran off. Driver pulled over, but pedestrian limped away toward Tallman Brewing.
5:47 p.m. – Report taken for missing person/runaway. Juvenile ran away after he was grounded, restricted from using electronics.

6:18 p.m. – Adrionna Jolene Davis, 27, arrested for assault IV, reckless endangering, 1800 block 18th Ave. According to SHPD, Sunny Sullivan had reported that his ex-girlfriend, Davis, had attempted to hit him with her car, but hit their other parked car. Davis lodged at Linn County Jail.
6:25 p.m. – Faron Walter Kennedy arrested on LCCC warrants for FTA in theft, reckless driving and driving while suspended cases, and LMC warrant for FTA in fraudulent use of credit card case, 4800 block Main St. Cited and released.
9:53 p.m. – Crash reported in 1600 block Main St. According to SHPD, David Waters, 69, of Sweet Home, operating a 1991 Toyota Tacoma, was turning east at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Main Street, while David Draper, 67, of Sweet Home, was driving a 2013 Toyota Prius east on Main Street, when they collided. 7:06 p.m. – Horace Taliaferro, 45, of Lebanon, arrested for menacing, unlawful use of weapon and harassment, 41600 block Cut Off Dr. According to LCSO, this was related to a disturbance in which Taliaferro allegedly threatened the use of a firearm. According to LCSO, he attempted to hide from deputies, but was eventually located and taken to jail. Report taken.

7:56 p.m. – Caller reported suspicious vehicle in driveway at residence in 36400 block Hwy. 228, Brownsville. Deputy responded, discovered that Amazon delivery truck had broken down. It was towed from driveway.

1:25 p.m. – Crash reported at Main St./13th Ave. According to SHPD, Jesse James, 85, of Sweet Home, heading south on 13th in a 2013 Chev Silverado pickup, stopped at a stop sign and, possibly because his vision was hindered by bright sunlight, proceeded onto Main Street and struck a 1995 Toyota 4Runner driven westbound on Main Street by Paul Lott, 73, of Sweet Home. Non-injury. No citations. Damage estimated at more than $2,500.
2:38 p.m. – Caller reported dogs had killed chicken in 5100 block Redwood St. Caller then reported that dog owner had contacted caller and was on the way to pick up dogs and pay for damages.
3:09 p.m. – Cory Harold Lawrence, 58, arrested on LCJC warrant for probation violation in contempt case. Stephanie Irene Starkweather arrested on AMC warrant for FTA in trespassing case, SHMC warrants for FTA in two trespassing cases. 3100 block Main St. Both cited and released.
4:42 p.m. – Caller from Oak Heights Elementary School reported that child was still at school, which was closed by that time. Officer responded, contacted parent, who said that child was supposed to have ridden bus home, and that parent was on their way.

9:13 a.m. – Caller from Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St., reported that over Winter Break someone entered the building and stole Chromebooks and a backpack from a modular classroom located on the southeast side of the high school. Chromebooks valued at $400 each. Backpack described as slick black motorcycle backpack valued at $299. No evidence of forced entry.. Officer responded, report taken for burglary II and theft I. Total loss valued at approximately $1,430.

7:47 a.m. – Two-car crash, Tangent/N 12th Sts. Previous crash not yet cleared. Ford driver on 12th crept into Tangent to head westbound and did not see traffic coming, turned on Tangent and was struck by Subaru driver heading eastbound on Tangent. No injuries reported.

10:41 a.m. – Video shows subject cut fence at business yard, 700 block Hansard Ave. Subject broke side panel on work truck (damage $1,100), rifled through various work trucks, rolled under trucks (no catalytic converters available to steal, as the business had these thefted two years ago), stole items, cut another part of the fence upon leaving.

7:23 p.m. – Caller fro Safeway, 1540 Main St., reported male had walked out of store with multiple items. Officer responded, re-trespassed male from location. Property returned to store.

10:37 a.m. – Package reported stolen from porch, 200 block Cascade Dr. Loss: $54.
11:33 a.m. – Mark Steven Nunez, 43, arrested on OSPB felony warrant for parole violation.
2:14 p.m. – Diana Naomi Kingery, 61, cited for speeding 40/25.
3:53 p.m. – Caller reported possible stolen package at Bridgecreek Memory Care, as her mom never received the box of treats. Loss: $16.

6:20 a.m. – Caller reported someone on property at HomeSmart Realty, 1575 Main St., who had deposited a large amount of their own possessions on the property. Officer responded, located male who had fallen asleep in toy house at location. Male gathered belongings and moved on
9:43 a.m. – William E. Brinton cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. Long St./12th Ave.
12:18 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 36, arrested on SHMC warrant for FTA in criminal mischief case, and for Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation, 18th Ave./Tamarack St. Lodged at Linn County Jail.
3:13 p.m. – Kyle A Richards, 32, arrested, after he turned himself in at Linn County Jail, on SHMC warrant for FTC in theft case.
3:38 p.m. – Caller reported RV in area of Elm St./16th Ave., which he believed had been abandoned. Officer responded, RV posted for removal.
4:25 p.m. – Kyle James Elmer, 34, arrested on SHMC warrant for FTC in theft case, LCCC warrants in theft, felon in possession of restricted weapon and possession of controlled substance cases, and LCJC warrant for contempt of court. 4100 block Osage St. Cited and released.
11:04 p.m. – Caller reported wife may have taken an unknown amount of pills, 900 block Grape St. Officer responded, female transported to SLCH by medics.
LCSO/OSP Lebanon
7:58 p.m. – Caller reported juvenile cutting her arm in 2100 block Mill St. Deputies responded, but determined that juvenile cut her arm with eyebrow trimmer out of anger, not suicidal intent.
LCSO/OSP Sweet Home/S. County
2:10 p.m. – “Unwanted” ex-boyfriend showed up in 28500 block Liberty Rd. He left prior to LCSO arrival. Caller was encouraged to call back if he showed up again.
2:10 p.m. – Deputy documented ongoing city ordinance violation in 300 block W. J St., Halsey. According to LCSO, situation involves sectional couch in yard.
6:17 p.m. – Citizen requested welfare check on pregnant female sitting in care in 200 block S. Main St., Brownsville. Deputy contacted her and gave her some water, but she indicated she did not need further assistance.

8:05 a.m. – Caller found two urns with ashes on top of business community mailbox, 100 block Mullins Dr.
8:24 a.m. – Caller found microchip in Ziploc bag on windshield and reported other suspicious activity: grocery bags with unopened drinks and food left at their property, and cake left on car, 100 block S 11th St.
10:28 a.m. – Update on transient reported. Sterling Sherburn transported to hospital 10 days ago with frostbitten feet. He will go to outpatient treatment when released.
10:56 a.m. – Shawn Aaron Gourley, 54, cited on LMC warrant for FTA.
11:58 a.m. – Caller reported subject yelling and punching self in head at Safeway. Also seen taking something out of pocket and stabbing it into the air. Joseph William Noel, 38, cited on LMC warrant for probation violation.
11:53 a.m. – Caller reported being assaulted while sleeping, wants police to photograph puncture wound in thigh near genitalia. Believes she is near death from the infection, refused to go to hospital.
8:46 p.m. – Subject dragging desk with a “free parking” sign on it, downtown. Subject believed if something is out and not bolted down, then it’s free to take. He pulled the sign pole out of the sidewalk.
9:21 p.m. – Shoplifting reported at Dollar Tree.
11:31 p.m. – Walmart grocery items reported stolen from porch shortly after delivery, 300 block W Jadon Dr. Loss: $50.
