Police: Search for missing man has turned up nothing

Sweet Home police say they have found no trace of Leroy Henderson, who has been missing since Oct. 2.

Henderson, 49, of 1451 53rd Ave. No. 4, was last seen by his girlfriend on the morning of Oct. 2.

He borrowed a friend’s car to run some errands and was expected back within hours, police said. The maroon Ford Aspire he was driving was found Oct. 10 in the McDowell Creek Park area,

“There has been no recent activity on the case,” Police Chief Bob Burford said.

“He’s been entered in both the state and national databases as a missing person. We’ve reviewed his cell phone records and there’s been no activity since shortly after he went missing.”
