The Sweet Home Police Department is asking the public’s help to identify a man who was spotted inside Sweet Home High School at about 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 5.
“We want to interview him, find out why he was at the school and make sure he doesn’t return if he doesn’t have rights to be there,” said SHPD Chief Jeff Lynn.
Lynn believes the man entered through an unsecured door and he did not try to make contact with students.
Staff confronted the man who was captured on a surveillance camera walking down a hall. The man did not acknowledge staff, Lynn said.
From the photos provided, it appears the man was not wearing a shoe on his left foot.
It is unknown what time the man entered the building, but Lynn said there was no indication he was there overnight.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact School Resource Officer Geoff Hamlin at (541) 367-5181. Reference case 201801511.
