Maybe I have listened to too many politicians’ speeches, but awhile ago, I put down these thoughts:
I think that I shall never see a politician truthfully get up and state the reason why they want the job, why they will sigh and sweat and groan and do or die.
Why don’t they say, “The job’s no honey, but what I want is power and money.”
