The upside to the new legalization of marijuana for recreational use is that we will have millions of tax dollars to support all of our public offices, schools, fire departments, sheriff departments, local dog catcher and library, forever. They will never again have to come to the taxpayer for additional taxes. Goodbye to all tax increases.
No problem, with one small fact: They don’t tax medical marijuana, so all you recreational pot users will have till July of next year to find a doctor who will get you a medical marijuana card. That should be no problem, since there are at least several doctors in Oregon that will issue you one for any medical problem you have developed between now and July.
Do you have an ingrown toenail, backache, headaches, rash, monthly cramps, pain of any kind? Avoid paying the hefty taxes; get your card now. Isn’t it great?!
I’m sure the new Affordable Care Act (ACK) will even pay for your trip to the doctor. Your insurance company should not object to paying for your daily dose of marijuana because it is a health issue.
I’m gonna go get mine today, while I still have a stomachache. Yes, yes, I can even apply on line.
