March 19 is the deadline to file to run for the board of directors for School District 55, the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District, the Sweet Home Cemetery District and Linn-Benton Community College for the May 19 election.
The School District has six open seats, including two at-large seats that were filled by appointment mid-term, filled by Lena Ellis and Nick Augsburger, along with seats for Foster, currently occupied by Jason Van Eck, also appointed mid-term; Cascadia, occupied by Kevin Burger; Crawfordsville, occupied by David VanDerlip; and Sweet Home, occupied by Mike Reynolds, who currently chairs the board.
The at-large positions will serve two-year terms. The other four will be four-year terms.

The Fire and Ambulance District has three open four-year terms, Positions One, Two and Three.

Cemetery District Position Three is open with a four-year term.
LBCC has four open positions with four year terms, including Zones One, Two-Three, Four and Six-Seven.
Candidates must file a Declaration of Candidacy or Petition for Nomination by 5 p..m. on March 19.
