Progress to be Made on Domino’s This Week

Progress on the incoming Domino’s pizza franchise will be noticed this week as a prefabricated modular building arrives to town for installation.

Franchise owner Bruce Vandenberg, of Vancor Properties, LLC, said they are on track to open some time in June.

The foundation for a Domino’s pizza business in front of Bi-Mart is ready to go, awaiting the arrival of the building.

“We had the building manufactured in a factory, so it’s coming in all ready to go,” he said. “There’s some work that has to be done inside, but it shortens the time quite substantially by having it built in advance.”

There will not be indoor dining, but the pizza business will be built for take-out, or via drive-thru when orders are submitted ahead of time online or through the Domino’s app.

Once the building is erected and the site is more accessible, they will begin on-site recruitment for people interested in joining the team, Vandenberg said.

Vancor Properties also operates Domino’s in Eugene and Salem.

“We’re a small family franchise owner of Domino’s,”  he said. “We are very happy to be involved in the brand because it’s doing so well. Domino’s is a good intersection between taste and value, so we hope to provide a lot of good, tasty food and service to the community in Sweet Home once we open.”
