Public and Traffic Safety Committee members sought

Volunteers are sought for Sweet Home’s re-established Public and Traffic Safety Committee.

The City Council on March 28 elected to revive the group, which will serve as an advisory board to the council and make recommendations regarding parking and traffic safety.

Members will:

n Work with the state’s traffic safety committee and seek whatever assistance would benefit the city.

n Review requests to establish or alter traffic controls and parking controls and all traffic safety problems. The committee will be authorized to make recommendations to the council for corrective action.

n Review all public safety matters referred by the council.

n Hear citizen comments, which can be delivered in person or in writing. Sign-in forms will be available for anyone who wants to speak. Written comments may be emailed to Administrative Services Manager Julie Fisher at [email protected] or submitted online at https://bit.ly/42cIITI.

Committee applications are available at http://www.sweethomeor.gov/bc.
