Public asked to help with burglary info

Tools stolen on N. River Drive

A Sweet Home man is asking for help in locating the person or persons responsible for the theft of about $3,000 in tools and equipment from his home’s carport in the early morning hours of Christmas day.

David Hoard lives approximately one half mile west of Foster Dam on North River Drive. He believes the items were stolen about 3:30 a.m. Christmas morning.

“I was sleeping in a chair about 30 feet from the carport and heard a noise, like tin blowing about that time,” said Hoard.

A former Gresham resident, Hoard has lived at the location about three years.

Among the items taken were: a new Coleman generator, a compressor, a brush whacker, tool boxes, belt sander, trading cards, spray paint, gas cans, tarp, camping stove, stereo, military uniforms and fishing poles.

Persons with any information about this incident are asked to call Mr. Hoard at 367-1687. A possible reward is being offered.

She said it was dressed in overalls with blue suspenders and red pockets.
