April 9

1:29 a.m. – Caller reported water spraying into the air behind Safeway, 1540 Main St. Officer contacted Public Works, which was able to shut off the main line.

3:03 a.m. – Caller reported a male was in a neighbor’s carport, 100 block of 10th. Officer responded and attempted to contact the homeowner because there was evidence someone tried to siphon fuel. No answer at the residence.

April 8

1:22 a.m. – Evelyn Louise Young, 34, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Cited and released.

3:13 a.m. – Caller reported that someone backed into a ditch, 1300 block of 45th. No damage to vehicle or property.

12:34 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog bit its owner’s hand, 4100 block of Osage. Medic dispatched. Dog quarantined.

2:53 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home leaving and the driver did not pay for fuel, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken. Loss valued at $15.

3:21 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a female driving along the railroad, 9th and railroad track. The female was able to turn around and was last seen heading down 9th Avenue. Officer contacted the driver. No signs of impairment, and no property damage. Driver referred to the Division of Motor Vehicles for evaluation.

6:33 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home parked on the street for four days, 1600 block of 18th. Posted for removal.

April 7

12:23 a.m. – Christopher Paul Hanson Eilers, 27, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving under the influence and probation violation, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Caller had reported two males who had been trespassed were at location. Officer contacted the two males in question, and they did not actually set foot on the property. Officer advised them to move along.

9:11 a.m. – The owner of a vehicle reported the theft of items from his vehicle, 43000 block of North River. Report taken. A deputy had found the vehicle with no license plates on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property. The deputy contacted the owner of the vehicle. The owner advised the deputy the vehicle had been parked at a friend’s house. He tried to contact his friend to find out why the vehicle had been moved, but he was unable to find his friend. The owner said he went to check and discovered several items stolen.

9:13 a.m. – Caller reported a male with a mask covering his face and carrying a blow torch with a hunting knife attached to his belt, 26th and Long. Officer contacted the male, who was not committing any crimes. Officer advised him of the complaint.

9:53 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, Nandina and 22nd. Officer unable to locate.

10:16 a.m. – Caller found an electronic device and headphones, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

1:17 p.m. – Caller found a syringe on the floor after a garage sale, 1080 12th Ave., Hope Center. Officer seized syringe for disposal.

2:12 p.m. – Caller reported road signs were blown over, 17th and Fir. Officer collected signs and sent an email to Public Works.

2:31 p.m. – Caller reported a male attempting to shoplift, 1540 Main St., Safeway. While the caller was on the phone, the male dropped the stolen items and left the store. Caller wanted the male trespassed. Officer checked area. Unable to locate.

3:09 p.m. – Caller reported a German shepherd running loose, 700 block of 8th. Officer unable to locate.

3:48 p.m. – Caller reported tires slashed, 1100 block of 18th. Report taken. Damage estimated at $300.

April 6

1 a.m. – Daniel Lee Kellum, 42, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft and probation violation, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware.

1:16 a.m. – Kaleb James Elmer, 21, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended and Philomath warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

3:36 a.m. – Caller reported broken beer bottles all over the roadway, 12th and Fir. Officer located the hazard and removed most of the large pieces of glass. Public Works advised.

9:22 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog barks nonstop, 1700 block of Dogwood. Officer responded. No one was home. Dogs were in the house barking. Message left for the owner.

9:40 a.m. – Caller reported that a gate was open and dogs were charging people, 400 block of 5th. Officer responded. The dogs were in the yard, and the gate was secured. Officer warned the owner for dog at large.

9:51 a.m. – Caller reported receiving a counterfeit $50. Report taken.

10:02 a.m. – Caller found a medicine bottle full of what appeared to be human teeth in a barn, 48000 block of Highway 20. The bottle had a label with the date 01/12/77 on it. It was labeled Tackett, but the first name was unreadable. Placed in found property.

10:53 a.m. – Officer flagged down for a physical fight at Weddle Bridge. Officer excluded from Sankey Park for 30 days.

11 a.m. – Caller reported a drug deal between a transient and student, 15th and Long. Officer responded and spoke with the male, who had borrowed money from a student to purchase a drink for himself. Nothing was exchanged.

11:33 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered the caller’s unlocked Honda Accord and took a gold necklace and the caller’s father’s Navy dog tags, 30100 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

12:41 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog from a house on Long Street keeps coming under the fence into the business, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners.

12:47 p.m. – Caller requested a welfare check on a client, 2100 block of Main. Officer located a female in need of medical attention. Medics transported the female to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

3:24 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of mail from a mailbox, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.

4:21 p.m. – Lesa Carina Hansen, 37, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 4230 Long St.

6:04 p.m. – Caller reported a male coming out of another person’s apartment, 2400 block of Long. Report taken.

6:52 p.m. – Caller reported a sex offense involving a juvenile female, 43700 block of Wiley Creek. Report taken.

7:30 a.m. – Deston Lee McQuiston, 19, cited for driving uninsured, 3700 block of Long. Caller had reported a male running off the road into a ditch.

9:50 p.m. – Caller reported yapping dogs, 400 block of Oak Terrace. Officer responded. No contact at residence. Officer planned to try back the next day.

April 5

12:54 a.m. – Christopher Lee Hughlett, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and contempt of court, Sweet Home warrant for two counts of failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer and new charges of providing false information to a police officer and carrying a concealed weapon, 2400 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:38 a.m. – Jeffrey Ryan Harris, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

4:14 a.m. – Caller reported items taken from an unlocked vehicle, 700 block of 29th. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

6:36 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle, left a meth pipe and took items, 900 block of Oak Terrace. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

8:12 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle and her boyfriend’s truck, 800 block of 27th.

8:15 a.m. – Caller reported that an RV had been parked on the street for four days, 1500 block of 40th. Vehicle posted for removal.

8:47 a.m. – Caller reported a fence cut in three places, 3225 Main St., new City Hall. Damage was possibly old. Information noted.

10:08 a.m. – Caller reported finding a fuel can next to vehicles, 4300 block of Main. Information noted.

11:52 a.m. – Caller reported receiving counterfeit money, 6300 block of Main. Report taken.

11:57 a.m. – Steven Andrew Williamson, 49, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Parole and Probation.

1:05 p.m. – Caller reported her loaner had been hit the previous day while parked, 1200 block of Main. Information exchanged.

2:38 p.m. – Caller reported a driveway filled with junk and trash, 4400 block of Live Oak. Referred to code enforcement.

2:39 p.m. – Caller reported a man living in an RV for a prolonged period, 45th and Long. Referred to code enforcement.

2:43 p.m. – Caller reported persons living in an RV in a yard, 46th Court. Referred to code enforcement.

2:49 p.m. – Caller reported a business leaving product outside in public view for a prolonged period, 100 block of Main. Referred to code enforcement.

3:05 p.m. – Caller reported his daughter found a cell phone in Mountain Shadows, 1530 Tamarack St. Placed in found property.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her truck, 400 block of 10th. Report taken. Loss valued at $90.

9:41 p.m. – Caller reported that a male set up camp by the railroad tracks on 47th Avenue. Officer contacted a male who admitted to camping there for about two weeks. Officer advised the male that he was on private property and needed to remove the camp the next day.

11:11 p.m. – Mykenzie Jo Blankenship, 19, cited for driving without a license and driving uninsured, and Alexine Yolanda Alewine, 34, cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle, Main and 23rd. Vehicle impounded.

11:49 p.m. – Dustin Kyle Coughran, 27, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1200 block of Main.

April 4

2:23 a.m. – Officer found a bicycle, 1990 Long St, Sweet Home School District Central Office. Placed in found property.

4:58 a.m. – Lamar Lavonne Wilson, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon. Cited and released.

5:01 a.m. – Anthony Allen Ensley, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:09 a.m. – Caller reported two firearms stolen from his unlocked truck, 300 block of 7th. Report taken. Loss valued at $570.

6:10 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicles during the night, 400 block of 9th. Report taken. Loss valued at $70.

11:03 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose in the park, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Owner collected the dog prior to officer arrival.

12:20 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home with people living inside it parked for approximately three days, 40th and Osage. The caller said they move it around every few days. Vehicle posted for removal.

12:23 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with a cover over it stored on the street, 41st and Osage. Officer contacted the owner of the vehicle. The owner agreed to move it onto private property.

1:01 p.m. – Caller reported a debit card had been used by an unknown person for the past two months, 1100 block of 10th. Report taken.

1:18 p.m. – Caller reported that his son had been assaulted at Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St. Report taken.

1:25 p.m. – Caller reported a welfare check on a subject who had been lying on the sidewalk since the morning, 1100 block of Long. Officer contacted the female, who was fine and stated she had a headache but did not need medical attention.

1:51 p.m. – Caller reported an ongoing property line issue and the other person involved was causing issues, 100 block of West Holley. Officer contacted the caller. The other person was gone upon arrival. Report forwarded to city attorney for review.

2:04 p.m. – Caller reported junk and appliances on property, 100 block of West Holley. Referred to code enforcement officer.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported an accumulation of trash on property, 100 block of West Holley. Referred to code enforcement.

2:07 p.m. – Caller reported junk vehicles parked in a driveway, 100 block of West Holley. Referred to code enforcement.

3:07 p.m. – Caller reported a male entered Subway, 1280 10th Ave., and stole a bag of chips. Officer contacted the caller, who did not want to pursue charges but wanted the male trespassed.

3:11 p.m. – Caller found a stray dog, 44500 block of North River. Caller decided to hold onto the dog until the owner is found. Caller posted photo of the dog on Facebook.

4:27 p.m. – Shawn Stanley Pruitt, 45, turned in himself on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended and Linn County warrant for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

4:49 p.m. – Mikah Rae Hooey, 36, cited for driving without a license and driving uninsured, 3000 block of Main. Vehicle impounded. Officer had located a vehicle with mismatched plates. Plates seized.

7:48 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 23900 block of Brush Creek. A female driver crashed her vehicle avoiding a deer. No one was injured. Vehicle was damaged significantly and towed from the scene.

April 3

1:38 a.m. – Laticia Pilar Sanchez, 28, arrested on state warrant for parole violation and a new charge of providing false information to a police officer, 41600 block of Upper Calapooia Drive. Transported to Linn County Jail.

7:07 a.m. – Caller reported that a school bus driver observed a van with a blanket over it parked at the Sweet Home Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 300 E. Holley Road, and a male lying on the ground. Officer contacted the male, who was fine and said he was sleeping on the ground because it helped his back.

8:47 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose in the area, 1800 block of Grape. Officer responded. The dog had returned home. Officer contacted a juvenile at the residence. The juvenile did not know the dog had escaped. Officer warned the juvenile for dog at large.

9:09 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle stolen, 1900 block of Long. The caller believed the suspect may have knocked him out because he did not remember anything. Report taken.

10:02 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his locked vehicle, 1100 block of 29th. Officer responded. The caller said the vehicle had been locked but the alarm never went off. The vehicle appeared to have been rifled through. Information noted.

10:51 a.m. – Kyle James Elmmer, 26, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of heroin and possession of meth and probation violation on original charge of possession of heroin and new charges of possession of meth and felony possession of heroin, 1100 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:41 a.m. – Caller reported that a male who was trespassed from the store was in the store about 10 minutes earlier, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

3:24 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his residence on March 7. Information noted at caller’s request.

3:43 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of two “Jerry” cans containing a fuel, oil and water mixture valued at $20 and chainsaw worth $500, 42600 block of Ames Creek.

7:20 a.m. – Caller reported a dog barking, 300 block of Ironwood. Officer responded. Dogs were quiet upon arrival. Officer contacted the responsible person. The dogs were barking and had been put inside.

8:48 p.m. – Caller reported two males sleeping partially on a sidewalk and partially in a roadway, 1100 block of 18th. Officer contacted a male, who moved out of the area.

April 2

10:36 a.m. – Caller reported vehicles and trash in the driveway for more than a month, 300 block of 9th. Referred to code enforcement.

10:40 a.m. – Motor vehicle crash, 2200 block of Larch. Drivers exchanged information.

11:11 a.m. – Caller reported that a trash can is left in the street, 1300 block of Poplar. Referred to code enforcement.

11:12 a.m. – Caller reported trash bags piled next to a house, 600 block of Elm. Referred to code enforcement.

12:54 p.m. – Caller reported his food stamp card stolen, 4000 block of Osage. Information noted.

1:57 p.m. – Caller reported that her mother received a scam phone call about her grandson being in a car crash, 400 block of Maple. Information noted.

4:37 p.m. – Caller reported that someone hit his vehicle, 1100 block of 18th. Report taken. Information noted.

6:40 p.m. – Caller reported a small black dog running loose, 1000 block of 1st. Officer unable to locate.

8:47 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Placed in kennel. Animal Control notified.
