11:34 a.m. – Caller reported being scammed out of $1,000 through eBay. The victim told the Sheriff’s Office that she spent $1,000 to purchase a vehicle and have it shipped from Maine. She was then alerted that she needed to pay another $1,000 for the shipment, so she called eBay and did more digging, learning that there had been no transaction with the site. 2300 block of Birch St. Report taken.
]2:02 p.m. – Caller reported new structures being built on his property in the 28400 block of Liberty Road. Deputy observed no construction. Attributed to mental health issues.
2:18 p.m. – Harvey Michael Kapicka, 36, was cited and released on a Albany Municipal Court cite-and-release warrant for second-degree theft, 1950 Main St.
4:37 p.m. – Robert Dwayne Pollock, 48, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
6:05 p.m. – Melannie Leanne Ader, 32, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failing to perform the duties of a driver, Lebanon.
6:55 p.m. – A vehicle was broken into at McDowell Creek Park, 43100 block of McDowell Creek Road, while its owner was hiking. A backpack and valuables valued at $2,440 were stolen. Report taken.
9:15 p.m. – Caller reported a burglary in the 28600 block of Ridgeway Road. Suspects were captured on video attempting to break into a home. They were not successful, but a shed was entered, resulting in the loss of tools, including a Craftsman tool box, yellow drill and a Craftsman circular saw. Total value: $720. The lock on the shed’s door was damaged. The investigation is continuing. Report taken.
9:44 p.m. – Shelly Vassallo, 47, of Sweet Home, was arrested on a charge of giving false information to a peace officer, outstanding warrant for failure to appear, after a deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle at a closed business in the 40300 block of Hwy. 228. Report taken.
10:55 p.m. – Thomas Charles Mann, 35, of Sweet Home, was cited for driving uninsured, driving while suspended, 18th Ave./Long St.
April 5
9:57 a.m. – Deputy checked on a resident in the 42100 block of North River Drive who hadn’t picked up his mail for a month. Confirmed he was OK.
10:27 a.m. – Trespass reported in the 28400 block of Liberty Rd. Neighbor took over an elderly neighbor’s property, causing damage. According to the Sheriff’s Office, neighbors had no permission to be on the property of an elderly male with mental health issues. They stored items on his property and built an ATV/motorcycle track that has created muddy conditions and damaged plant growth, according to LCSO. The neighbors did not have permission to damage property or store belongings, junk, trash, etc., according to LCSO. Case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges. Report taken.
11:22 a.m. – Bryanna Harley, 30, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, 1502 Main St.
12:57 p.m. – Deputy assisted the driver of a vehicle that crashed in the middle of Caulkins Boat Ramp, 44500 block of Hwy. 20.
1:44 p.m. – A trailer was reported stolen in the 1400 block of 60th Ave. The victim lives at the location and had a trailer stolen from an overflow parking area sometime after April 3. It was described as a 12-feet-long, single-axle white enclosed cargo trailer valued at $4,000. A video of the incident was captured and a deputy is investigating. Report taken.
2:19 p.m. – Trevor Brown, 33, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1600 block of 12th Ave.
3:19 p.m. – Cameron Wark, 32, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St.
3:58 p.m. – James Linder, 33, was cited and released for third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St.
5:06 p.m. – Alexis Morgan Bowers, 21, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Ore-gon State Police.
7:08 p.m. – Buzz Starr Dodson, 24, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
April 6
6:40 a.m. – A female was reported standing in a McDonald’s drive-through and yelling at people, refusing to leave, 2000 Main St. Denise Burrow, 55, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree trespass and a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of meth possession and first-degree trespass.
1:20 p.m. – Victoria Santich, 23, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and having no valid driver’s license, 1300 block of Main St.
3:02 p.m. – Deputy contacted a female camped on BLM land in the 44700 block of Quartzville Road. According to the Sheriff’s log, she has been moving from site to site for nearly 14 days. She was advised that the 14-day limit stands, regardless of which site she is occupying.
3:15 p.m. – Andrew James Frei-tag, 21, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
3:25 p.m. – Deputy contacted a male near a camp he’d recently vacated in the 24200 block of West Brush Creek Road. Items were left behind, so he was advised to return to the site and clean it up entirely. Additional damage was discovered near the site, where someone had cut several trees and was building a shelter on BLM land. The investigation is continuing.
6:51 p.m. – Rachell Ann Gandrud, 41, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
10:24 p.m. – Brandy Lee Dozier, 36, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
April 7
9:28 a.m. – Caller reported shots being fired across from Thistle Creek Boat Ramp, 47300 block of Quartzville Road. Caller said that some live rounds struck near a ramp and an occupied boat. Deputies checked the area and were unable to find anyone involved.
9:49 a.m. – Austin Hart, 28, was cited and released on a second-degree criminal trespass charge after needing rescue on Wiley Creek Mainline, 41200 block of Upper Calapooia Drive. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Hart was allegedly trespassing on Wiley Creek Mainline, on Campbell Global property closed to motorized use, and became stuck in the snow after going through an open gate while logging was going on. When Hart tried to leave the area, the gate was closed and he became stuck. Report taken.
3:35 p.m. – Garrett Stevens, 43, of Sweet Home, was arrested on a warrant after the Sheriff’s Office responded with Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District to a burn pile fire that spread to a vehicle. 39500 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Report taken.
7:42 p.m. – Sheriff’s deputies assisted a female separated from people she was traveling with to California. She was taken to Albany to try to get assistance. 28100 block of Hwy. 20.
8:20 p.m. – Leola Nulene Ellingsen, 32, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
9:06 p.m. – Robert Gene Cox, 42, was cited and released on Albany Municipal Court warrant for theft by receiving, 13th Ave./Main St.
April 8
12:30 a.m. – Riley Shane Huntoon, Ryan Davis Meacham, and Lorenzo Benjamin Corona-Snow, all 18, were cited for being minors in possession of alcohol, Sankey Park.
2:05 p.m. – Transient camp located on BLM land south of the 24200 block of W. Brush Creek Road. Its occupants were advised to clean up and vacate.
3:19 p.m. – Deputy contacted a UTV operator of UTV in the 38500 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Its operator was advised of laws regarding UTV use.
4:14 p.m. – Ervin Larry Smith, 68, of Sweet Home, was arrested for DUII and reckless driving, 42400 block of Ames Creek Road. Report taken.
6:06 p.m. – Deputy contacted two dirt-bike riders in the 38600 block of Crawfordsville Drive, and warned them about doing so.
April 9
9:15 a.m. – Michelle Lee Shaddon, 46, of Crawfordsville, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 39500 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Report taken.
11:09 a.m. – Matthew Kincaid Nelson, 23, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving with a suspended license, Albany.
12:38 p.m. – Jordan Nicole Swanson-Moore, 31, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of fraud, 1950 Main St.
5:47 p.m. – Colton Robert Michael Rictor, 20, was cited and released for third-degree theft and second degree criminal trespass X2, 1540 Main St.

12:34 a.m. – David Sterling Schwan, 32, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
12:42 p.m. – Deputy contacted an adult male with a motorhome and sedan parked on Army Corps of Engineers property, 43300 block of North River Drive. The man, who admitted having stayed overnight, was warned for illegal camping.
12:53 p.m. – Miguel Alfredo Gutierrez, 39, was arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of giving false information to a police officer, Albany.
2:01 p.m. – Hunter Gomez, 38, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.
2:49 p.m. – Amy Leigh Barnes, 31, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.
5:09 p.m. – Brandin Martin Hugley, 34, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for hit and run and driving with a suspended license, west city limits, Hwy. 20.
