8:49 a.m. – Caller reported that her uncle died the previous day and sometime during the night, his granddaughter moved in and trashed the place. Caller said a restraining order was in place to prevent the granddaughter from coming to the residence, 500 block of Ironwood. Report taken.
9:19 a.m. – Caller reported a motor home parked for an extended period, 1200 block of Main. Officer contacted the operator who said it was broken down but would have it moved prior to noon. If not moved, it was to be towed.

5:08 p.m. – Caller reported his kids were threatened by other kids in the park, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. The kids told them they were going to bring back a pistol. The caller followed them to their residence, and their parents were not home. Officer contacted all parties. No crimes.

7:22 p.m. – Caller reported her 10-year-old son was hit by another child and given a fat lip, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer responded. Other parents were notified and were going to meet with the caller to discuss the incident.

4:04 a.m. – Caller reported that a female living in California was threatening to report him for animal neglect, and the caller wanted an officer to document the animal’s condition, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer responded. No concerns for animal neglect at the time. Caller advised of options.
8:28 a.m. – Single-vehicle crash, Highway 228 and Fern Ridge. Driver had a medical issue and went by private vehicle to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Landscaping at the “Entering Sweet Home” sign was damaged.
9:18 a.m. – Eugene James May, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Dallas. Cited and released.
9:51 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of items from his unsecured vehicle during the night, 4900 block of 48th. Report taken. Loss valued at $370.
10:24 a.m. – Caller reported that it looked like someone had thrown lots of nails in his driveway, 1400 block of Tamarack. Information noted.
10:52 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her unsecured vehicle during the night and used the garage door opener to open the garage, 1200 block of Linden. Report taken. Loss valued at less than $50.
11:04 a.m. – Caller reported his vehicle had been vandalized, 51300 block of Quartzville. He had left camp the previous day about noon to get supplies. After returning several hours later, he found his 1991 Ford Explorer in a ditch approximately 100 feet from camp. All the windows had been broken with rocks, and the vehicle was further damaged going off the road. Report taken.

2:05 a.m. – Shawna Jean Tidwell, 30, cited for no license and no insurance, 23rd and Long. Vehicle impounded.
7:13 a.m. – Caller reported a female lying in the alleyway with another person nearby, 12th Avenue between Nandina and Main. Officer contacted the female, who had a dizzy spell and was up when the officer arrived. She declined medical attention.
9:49 a.m. – Caller reported a shoplifter, 1540 Main St. Caller said the subject wouldn’t wait for police. The caller believed the items were retrieved. While on the phone with person reporting the crime, the subject called police and wanted to talk to an officer. Report taken. Theft valued at $2.49.
10:19 a.m. – Kyle Anthony Carter, 26, arrested for third-degree theft in followup, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
11:04 a.m. – Caller reported a travel trailer and garbage in a front yard, 4100 block of Osage. Referred to code enforcement.
11:06 a.m. – Caller reported an accumulation of garbage, 800 block of Dogwood. Referred to code enforcement.
11:33 a.m. – Caller reported that she was in the process of moving from location, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. She stayed at her new residence overnight. When she returned the next day, there was a fire in the wood stove. Ashes were strewn about, and someone had gone through her things. Report taken.
11:44 a.m. – Caller received a text from someone against whom she has a restraining order, 1300 block of 43rd. Caller said the subject was incarcerated at Lebanon Police Department but was still texting her. Report taken.
12:04 p.m. – Angela Dianne May, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.
12:15 p.m. – Caller reported three juveniles, two females and one male, were walking north on 49th Avenue, 1200 block, and the male kept pulling down the females’ pants when vehicles passed by. Then the females were trying to pull down the male’s pants. Officer contacted siblings goofing off. Officer counseled them for their actions and notified parents.
12:17 p.m. – Caller reported that his parents took his sub and amp and wouldn’t give them back, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded. The items were mounted in his mother’s vehicle. She was waiting until her husband returned in the evening to take them out and return them.
1:52 p.m. – Caller reported a dog was constantly barking and getting out of an enclosed yard, 400 block of Nandina.
2 p.m. – Robert Aaron Davis, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Junction City.
3:33 p.m. – Caller reported five camouflage tarps worth $60 stolen, 1439 Main St., Rio Theater. Report taken.
3:48 p.m. – Caller reported a rottweiler interfering with the caller while she was walking her dog, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer located the owner. The dog had jumped the fence. The owner secured the dog. Owner warned for the issue.
4:05 p.m. – Caller reported a shoplifter, 621 Main St., Thriftway.
4:33 p.m. – Caller turned in a fraudulent $5 bill, 1302 Long St., Sugar Vibes. The bill was taken during a busy time, and the caller did not know who the suspect was. Report taken.
4:56 p.m. – Heather Nicole Matney, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft, first-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree assault and Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation; and Kyle Alexander Richards, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and second-degree theft and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, Clark Mill and railroad tracks. 6:11 p.m. – Caller reported two juveniles shooting at birds with a BB gun, 2400 block of Harding. Officer responded and contacted their father, who had taken away the toy gun.
6:13 p.m. – Oregon State Police arrested Derrick James Freeman, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft. Cited and released.
6:57 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 30, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of failure to appear, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Transported to Linn County Jail.
7:18 p.m. – Caller reported that several vehicles had been parked for months, 1100 block of 2nd. Officer responded and contacted a person responsible for one of the vehicles. The person agreed to move it since it was blocking the sidewalk. Officer was unable to locate anyone responsible for the other vehicles. Officer left a business card for contact at a nearby residence.
7:22 p.m. – Caller reported animal carcasses had been dumped, 43700 block of North River Road.
8:10 p.m. – Caller reported a male outside the building asking how he could get mental help, 1099 Long St., Sweet Home Fire Hall. Officer contacted the male, who advised he was struggling with drug addiction. Male advised of options.
8:27 p.m. – Darrell George Berrigan, 45, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.
March 26
8:27 a.m. – Heather Richards cited for driving under the influence, fourth-degree assault, recklessly endangering another person and driving while suspended after a vehicle she had been driving crossed the center lane and collided head-on into another vehicle, 39800 block of Fish Hatchery. The second driver was transported to the hospital.
9:36 a.m. – Michael Ralph Marshall Jr., 35, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 3100 block of Main.
9:43 a.m. – Joe Allen Wayne Wood, 28, arrested on Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended, 5527 Poplar St. Cited and released.

3:35 p.m. – Caller reported that a male hit a female twice, yelling that he should get his gun, 2000 block of Willow. The caller said he started yelling at two children. Officer contacted both parties. The female had no injuries and did not wish to pursue charges. Parties separated.

6:11 p.m. – Caller reported a female was behind the Sweet Home Evangelical Church playing golf, 1347 Long St. Caller was concerned she would break some windows. Officer gave a trespass warning to the female.
6:23 p.m. – Caller reported a dog on his porch, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Officer contacted the caller who had determined who the owner is and planned to return the dog.
