10:08 a.m. – Caller reported a physical disturbance, 1700 block of 13th, with one male injured and experiencing heart problems. Officer responded, report taken, male transported by medics. Bruce Irving Lavalley, 67, cited for menacing.
1:54 p.m. – Bend Police Department located Sheena Nicole Olson, 35, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of reckless driving.
5:26 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor has been stealing from a vacant house and selling items online, 1900 block of 20th. Officer responded, a family member of the male said he was cleaning up the property. Other junk building material items are on the property, which is under renovation. Caller saw the male leave with a door from the property. Property owner is unknown and not present to say if an actual theft occurred.
6:36 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor in the apartment complex is taking picture of the caller’s kids when they are outside, which makes her uncomfortable, 2400 block of Main. Officer contacted the caller and learned about the photos being taken, no crime because photos were taken of and from a common tenant area. Other party not home, officer left a business card.
7:10 p.m. – Grady Daniel Nading, 35, arrested for reckless driving, 4700 block of Live Oak. Grady transported to Linn County Jail.
9:42 p.m. – Officer recovered a vehicle stolen out of Lebanon, 900 block of 6th. Aleece Rochelle Woods, 34, cited for criminal mischief, Cody Allen Bowman, 30, cited for possession of a stolen vehicle.
August 17
3:07 a.m. – Caller reported seeing a sizeable fire on the bank downstream of Pleasant Valley Bridge. Contacted fire department.
7:32 a.m. – Caller reported someone broke cameras and other items at 800 Long St, Henson Heating and Air Company. Officer responded, report taken for criminal mischief and theft, will return for security footage.
8:55 a.m. – Fredrick Wilkins Cadger, 53, turned himself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of disorderly conduct.
10:59 a.m. – Callers reported hearing that a male was coming to the location to shoot people who got him evicted, Country Star RV Park, 6281 Main. Officer contacted male by phone, he stated he has no intentions to do what was reported.
11:59 a.m. – Caller reported a male punched a hole in the door and pushed her husband, 400 block of Holley. Officer responded, report taken, other party left the location, investigation ongoing.
1:52 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke lock on mailbox, 4600 block of Main. Officer responded, caller wants info to be noted.
4:57 p.m. – Deputy contacted campers at Milepost 24 on Quartzville Road, who were on Campbell Global Property. Advised them they were trespassing and needed to vacate site.
6:05 p.m. – Scott Citro, 45, cited and released for disorderly conduct, 1000 block of 43rd.
8:32 p.m. – Two 15-year-old males referred to juvenile department for criminal trespassing, 1400 block of 18th.
8:51 p.m. – 15-year-old male and 15-year-old female referred to juvenile department for criminal trespassing, 300 block of Main.
10:24 p.m. – Albany Police cited Austyn Mitchell Lee Clark, 26, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
August 18
5:30 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle passed him and cut him off, causing him to crash his motorcycle, 5300 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken. Slight injury, under $2500 of damage to motorcycle. Caller doesn’t believe other driver intentionally caused the crash, other vehicle and driver are unidentified.
6:32 a.m. – Caller reported someone keyed her husband’s vehicle, 5300 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken.
9:57 a.m. – Caller reported that his boat was entered and fishing gear was taken at Sunnyside Park, 44900 block Quartzville. Report taken.
11:02 a.m. – Denise Burrow, 53, and Allen Ensley, 31, both issued citations for active Linn County Circuit Court warrants. 44700 block Quartzville Road.
2:00 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office cited Travis Gary Hummer, 34, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving.
3:24 p.m. – Jennifer Robertson, 46, turned herself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft, 1950 Main, SHPD. Cited and released.
3:56 p.m. – Nathan Deffenbaugh, 44, turned himself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft, 1950 Main, SHPD. Cited and released.
4:08 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a male and female in a physical disturbance, 5000 block of Main. Officer responded found female gone on arrival, contacted male who said the disturbance was over cans in a sleeping bag – she wouldn’t return them to him. Male warned for his behavior.
4:51 p.m. – Linn County Jail cited Samantha Christine Mansell, 28, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal trespassing.
6:04 p.m. – Caller reported her son is breaking dishes in the sink, 400 block of Holley. Officer responded, male wasn’t actively breaking dishes on arrival and had already cleaned up the mess.
9:10 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office cited and released Amanda Rae Stafford, 44, on a Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
9:53 p.m. – Caller reported someone stole her debit card and tried to use it, 900 block of Birch. Report taken, investigation ongoing.
11:23 p.m. – Caller reported their father is intoxicated, saying he wants to kill himself and hitting her brother, 1400 block of Elm. Officer responded, Taos Ophidian, 38, cited and released for domestic harassment. Family has left the location.
August 19
4:11 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle stolen, 900 block of Cedar. Officer responded, report taken.
5:25 a.m. – Officer located Shannon Marie Richards, 47, during a traffic stop and cited her on a Lebanon warrant for a probation violation, 4400 block of Main.
10:09 a.m. – Officer located Dustin Clarneau, 46, at 1530 Main, Santiam Plaza, on multiple warrants: an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for a parole violation, a Linn County warrant for felony theft and failure to appear on an original charge of failure to report as a sex offender, and a Lebanon warrant for a probation violation. Also arrested for criminal mischief and theft. Lodged at Linn County Jail.
10:53 a.m. – Caller reported a customer located drug paraphernalia in parking lot of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, 1118 Main. Officer responded, items seized for destruction.
11:15 a.m. – Caller reported neighbor’s dogs continue to get out, and one got hold of her cat, 700 block of Long. Unknown if cat is injured, couldn’t locate. Officer responded, Andrew Michael Whittington, 34, cited for dog as a public nuisance.
2:37 p.m. – Caller hadn’t been at location for several days, shop has been burglarized and three vehicles are missing, 4500 block of Airport. Report taken, investigation ongoing. Chevrolet Blazer was recovered by Linn County Sheriff’s Office prior to officer leaving the caller’s residence, other missing vehicles are a red and white 1970 Chevrolet El Camino, license plate ACX447, valued at $25,000 and an Orange 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner, license plate 9W4727, valued at $45,000. Several power tools also stolen, worth $2700.
4:47 p.m. – Deputy out with stolen 1978 Chevrolet Blazer, license plate 9P8439, no keys, unoccupied, extensive body damage, 40000 block of Providence.
5:51 p.m. – Caller reported minor car crash across from Thriftway, 600 block of Main. Officer responded, Eric Michael Hahn cited for driving while suspended violation and careless driving.
6:07 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle was broken into at Foster Lake, 1400 block of 60th Avenue. Purse stolen. Report taken.
7:41 p.m. – Philomath Police Department served Ross Allen Scott, 27, with a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.
10:05 p.m. – Caller reported her wallet and keys were stolen from her residence, 2300 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken for theft and burglary, loss valued at $50.
August 20
1:11 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office cited Justin Ray Gomez, 28, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of disorderly conduct.
8:29 a.m. – Caller reported items taken from them during the night, Church of Nazarene, 415 Holley. Officer responded, male found wallet and money in his backpack, report unfounded, female will file report after medical appointment.
1:18 p.m. – Caller reported a female came onto his property, yelled at him about an ongoing dispute, then attempted to kick his cat, 1300 Clark Mill. Officer responded, female trespassed from location per caller request.
1:30 p.m. – Caller reported a gas line was cut and gas taken from a vehicle, 1200 block of Wiley Creek. Officer responded, report taken for theft and criminal mischief.
2:01 p.m. – Caller reported transients camped at the Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce, 1575 Main, wanted them trespassed. Officer responded, contacted male and female who have since left.
6:51 p.m. – Andrew James Freitag, 19, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal mischief, and on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft and shoplifting, 2100 block of Main. Cited and released in the field, parole officer notified.
7:19 p.m. – Caller reported a theft of cans, 800 block of Alder. Report taken, loss valued at $150.
8:44 p.m. – Caller and his wife were walking their dog along 53rd when a dog came out of a yard and attacked their dog. The owner came out and started kicking the caller’s dog, then followed him and his wife home and threatened them, 1000 block of Wiley Creek. Investigation ongoing.
9:14 p.m. – White van posted for removal on Aug. 24, 900 block of 7th.
9:53 p.m. – A male with no shirt on was trying to start a fight outside the bar, 1200 block of 12th. Officer contacted the subject, who was looking for his girlfriend. Will leave area for the night.
10:22 p.m. – Caller reported her grandfather’s vehicle was stolen in the past couple of hours, 300 Holley. Report taken for a 2004 Chevrolet Impala with a light gray naval veteran plate bearing JMCX.
10:48 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 31, seen walking down the street, yelling and he kicked over a garbage can, 900 block of Main. Officer cited and released Ensley on charges of criminal mischief, possession of meth, and was told to clean up the mess he made when he knocked the can over.
August 21
2:38 a.m. – Officer served Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 44, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.
10:10 a.m. – Danny Lewis Young, 57, cited for studded tires, Pleasant Valley bridge.
11:29 p.m. – KC Everett Holt, 37, cited and released on probable cause for third-degree theft, 1200 block of 23rd.
1:32 p.m. – Caller reported a man who said he lost his keys to a vehicle at Sun Motel, 3026 Main, caller doesn’t believe he owns the vehicle and is worried he’ll steal it. Officer responded, vehicle belongs to male’s father. Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 44, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession.
2:13 p.m. – Caller reported a male took items from Sweet Home Gleaners, 3031 Main, was last seen running on Main. Officer responded, Male returned items prior to officer arrival, male located and trespassed from location per caller request.
4:30 p.m. – Forest patrol deputy contacted seven boat camps on Green Peter. Three advised they were going to sleep on their boats and moved offshore. Others claimed they had not seen closure signs. Deputy checked boat ramps and found clearly posted signs.
6:35 p.m. – Caller reported their vehicle was entered and has significant damage, 1600 block of Elm. Report taken for criminal mischief and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Damage valued at $1600.
9:12 p.m. – Dustin Wolfgang Furry, 20, cited and released on Albany warrants for criminal trespass and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, 800 block of 22nd.
10:02 p.m. – Deputy contacted driver of vehicle that deputy had seen twice earlier in the day, both times parked in Army Corps of Engineers day-use areas, 44600 block Santiam Highway. According to police report, every time deputy arrived, vehicle would pull away. Male told deputy he had pulled over to make a call, but deputy reported that he believed the driver was planning to settle in for the night. Driver was given final warning: future contact would result in a citation.
11:17 p.m. – Deputy stopped at 10 illegal campfires at dispersed camps on USFS property between Mileposts 6 and 24 along Quartzville Road. Painted “No Camping” on the road in several locations and posted signs at Milepost 15.2.
August 22
11:40 a.m. – Caller locked behind South Bank gate at Green Peter Dam. Caller had traveled from Moose Creek.
4:35 p.m. – Caller reported someone on neighbor’s property sprayed her with a hose, 1200 block of Riggs Hill. Officer responded, contacted female who had permission to be on the property.
5:32 p.m. – Cory Michael Lobdell, 24, cited and released on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of heroin possession, also cited for driving while suspended. Safeway, 1540 Main.
5:59 p.m. – Deputies and Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District rescue personnel responded to rafters in distress on South Santiam River, 40500 block Weatherly Lane.The Sheriff’s Office reported that the group was unfamiliar with the river and “ill-equipped,” attempted to float downstream from Pleasant Valley boat ramp and got into trouble in rapids. Several minor injuries and some lost property when most of the kayaks and tubes overturned, but “everyone was rescued safely.”
7:51 p.m. – Forest deputy patrolled Quartzville Road from Yellow Bottom Mountain to Highway 20. Found roads in bad shape on BLM property, with numerous trees on road on 11-3E-33. 11-3E-29 was completely blocked by a 4-foot diameter fallen tree, bank to bank. Found two illegal camps with fire on Quartzville Road.
8:45 p.m. – Caller reported a suspicious male at Casa De Reyes, 2434 Main, was acting odd earlier, and now he’s back. Would like an officer to ask him to leave for the night and be in the area while employees get off work. Prior to officer arrival, caller reported the male left on foot. Officer responded, stayed in the area until employees left the location.
9:35 p.m. – Caller reported a male outside yelling, cursing at them, and throwing things, would like him trespassed, Casa De Reyes, 2434 Main. report taken for stalking.
10:24 p.m. – Albany police cited Tiffany Ann Bates, 20, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.
11:15 p.m. – David Bank, 49, issued a citation for stalking, Sun Motel, 3026 Main.
August 23
2:42 a.m. – Person on bike was spotted attempting to take items from a campsite. Scared off when deputy approached. Area searched, but unable to locate suspect.
9:08 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle left quickly after what sounded like two gunshots, 12th and Poplar. Officer responded, unable to locate.
9:43 a.m. – Caller reported two fishing reels stolen, valued at $130, stolen overnight while camping. 47700 block Quartzville Road.
9:52 a.m. – Caller reported seeing a cougar, 700 block of Main. Officer responded, unable to locate.
10:41 a.m.- Caller reported abandoned RV, officer responded, tagged for removal on Aug. 27, 1200 block of 49th.
1:06 p.m. – Frank Joseph Coelho, 64, cited and released for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, 4800 block of Main.
3:35 p.m. – Lesa Carina Hansen, 39, turned herself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of disorderly conduct, SHPD, 1950 Main. Cited and released.
5:23 p.m. – Caller reported a female is irate and screaming at nothing, Pleasant Valley and Main. Officer responded, contacted female who was having mental health issues.
6:02 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash in 46600 block Old Hufford Road. Driver complained of minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Report taken.
6:05 p.m. – Caller reported a male they have a restraining order against is at the location, 4800 block of Main. Officer responded, Ryan Hutchinson, 32, arrested on a restraining order violation, a probation violation, and a Linn County warrant for a probation violation. Lodged at Linn County Jail.
6:17 p.m. – Caller reported three juveniles jumped the fence into the play structure area, Sankey Park. Officer responded, contacted the three juveniles and counseled them for jumping over the fence. Mother also contacted, will be picking them up.
6:51 p.m. – Caller reported a female sitting on the side of the roadway yelling and making “gun” finger gestures, Pleasant Valley and Main. Officer responded, contacted female who is having her normal mental health issues, not committing a crime and not in roadway.
7:46 p.m. – Caller reported her son is pushing her around, 1700 block of Fir. Officer responded, son gone on arrival. Contacted caller who doesn’t wish to pursue charges for the physical assault, but reported her son took her purse, cellphone and cigarettes. Report taken for theft, loss valued at $500.
8:00 p.m. – Deputy found “transient” motor home parked at Menears Bend. Since it was not yet dark, occupants were warned for illegal camping and left a short time later.
8:13 p.m. – James Robertson, 59, cited for open burning, 24th and Long.
11:48 p.m. – Vehicle bearing license plate 714JZC repossessed from 3200 block of Main.
August 24
12:10 a.m. – Linn County Jail cited Hunter Areil Ringheimer, 27, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.
12:51 a.m. – Albany Police cited Amy Leigh Barnes, 29, on a Sweet Home warrant for theft.
6:14 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office located Bryanna Sue Harley, 28, on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.
