Aug. 26

4:15 a.m. – Airel Shanea Kaping, 25, cited for driving while suspended and arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of theft of lost or mislaid property, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Cited and released.

Aug. 25

2:42 a.m. – Caller found a bicycle, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Placed in found property.

6:12 a.m. – Caller found a black dog in the middle of the highway, Osage and Main. Dog returned to owner.

8:35 a.m. – Caller reported a tree service truck hit a power pole, 900 block of 23rd. No injuries. Pacific Power advised the pole will need to be replaced at a later date.

9:30 a.m. – Caller reported four to five dogs out of their yard and running loose and owners were not home, 1100 block of 43rd. Officer located at least four dogs at large. Officer was unable to catch them. They did not appear to be aggressive. Officer left the gate open to their yard so they could get back inside. Owner later warned for dog at large.

9:38 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered the caller’s pickup and stole cash and a laptop, 44900 block of Quartzville, Sunnyside Park. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,600.

10:01 a.m. – Caller reported fuel siphoned, 1700 block of Dogwood. Report taken.

11:41 a.m. – Caller found an older dog, 46th and Long. Officer returned the dog to the yard. Owners warned for dog at large.

11:59 a.m. – Anna Rochelle House, 35, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Newport.

2:07 p.m. – Alexis Marie Pickle, 18, cited for driving uninsured in vehicle collision, 15th and Main. No injuries.

3:42 p.m. – Caller reported a barking dog in a house in the 400 block of 16th Avenue between Elm and Dogwood streets. No one home at location. Officer left business card for contact.

5:24 p.m. – Caller found a syringe, Main and Clark Mill. Officer disposed of syringe.

5:30 p.m. – Caller reported a non-injury crash, 46000 block of Quartzville. Vehicle went into a ditch.

5:49 p.m. – Caller reported a black Lab at large, 1000 block of Mountain View. Officer unable to locate.

4:26 p.m. – Wesley Colin Glenn, 36, cited for driving uninsured and failure to renew registration, Main and 23rd.

7:43 p.m. – Caller reported transients loitering on her property, 1266 15th Ave. Officer contacted and trespassed two males.

Aug. 24

12:30 a.m. – Zachariah Lee Davis, 30, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of assaulting an officer, Elm and 14th.

2:10 a.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated person arguing with neighbors, 400 block of Oak Terrace. Officer counseled intoxicate dfemale on her actions.

7:04 a.m. – Caller reported his son’s motorcycle missing, 4300 block of Main. Report taken.

8:56 a.m. – Caller reported a wheel came off a pickup moving on Main Street and then striking a vehicle in the caller’s lot, 1746 Main St. Information exchanged.

9:33 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of an air conditioner from the back of her unlocked vehicle, 900 block of Dogwood. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

11:37 a.m. – Caller reported a loose pit bull, 1000 block of Vista. Dog gone upon officer arrival.

12:46 p.m. – Deputy responded to a disturbance where neighbors have argued regarding property, 27200 block of High Deck Road. Caller had painted a sign calling the other neighbor a drug dealer. The other neighbor responded by splashing paint on the new sign. Caller wanted the incident documented.

1:38 p.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 36, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

2:01 p.m. – Peter Robert Piazza, 35, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree animal neglect, Eugene.

3:37 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash reported, 44900 block of Quartzville. A vehicle struck a parked car in the overflow parking area at Sunnyside Park while trying to leave the parking lot and shut the door at the same time. Minor damage to bumpers.

7 p.m. – Caller reported a disturbance where a female trying to leave hit another female with her vehicle, 1200 block of Nandina. A second caller reported she went to the location to talk to a male about school supplies when the male and his wife attacked the caller, hitting her in the face. Report taken. Investigation continuing.

11:57 p.m. – Shane Jeffrey Steinbacher, 45, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 49th and Mountain Fir.

Aug. 23

8:53 a.m. – Caller reported two German shepherds were on the highway and almost hit, 53rd and Main. Officer unable to locate.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported the German shepherds were on the front steps of the main building at Samaritan Wiley Creek Community, 5050 Mountain Fir. Dogs placed in kennel. Dogs released to owner.

11:10 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a $400 bicycle, 45900 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

11:44 p.m. – Caller reported that someone put a couple of fake bills into a donation box, 6200 block of Main. Officer seized the bills.

11:52 p.m. – Caller reported a male stole a generator and several other items, 1800 block of Tamarack. Report taken.

1:42 p.m. – Caller reported a theft from the caller’s home, 27600 block of Liberty. Report taken.

3:01 p.m. – Audra Nakeysha Calynn Gosnell, 23, cited for using a cell phone while driving, 15th and Main.

3:32 p.m. – Caller reported a theft and requested extra patrol, 51900 block of Highway 20, Cascadia.

3:40 p.m. – Alisha Juanita Starkey, 27, cited for failure to use seatbelt, Main and 22nd.

4:14 p.m. – Mikaela Rae Houck, 28, cited for using a cell phone while driving, 15th and Main.

4:32 p.m. – Austin Aramiah Yoder, 23, cited for no seatbelt, west city limits.

5 p.m. – Robert Arthur Muller, 75, cited for no seatbelt, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

5:11 p.m. – Joshua Adam Parker, 33, cited for no seatbelt, 15th and Main.

6 p.m. – Deston Lee McQuistion 21, cited for driving while suspended and seatbelt violation, and Carlos Adrian Ibarra, 20, cited for seatbelt violation, Cedar Shack.

7:40 p.m. – Caller reported a bike stolen at River Bend Campground, 45900 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

7:41 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash reported, 12th and Main. No injuries. Information exchanged.

9:19 p.m. – Caller reported a car high centered on the median, 12th and Main. Vehicle removed prior to officer arrival.

10:01 p.m. – Caller found a credit card, 3100 block of Main. Placed in found property.

10:47 p.m. – Caller found a wallet, 2295 Main St., Mobile station. Placed in found property.

10:59 p.m. – Timothy James Shehan, 25, cited for no Oregon license and driving uninsured, 4300 block of Main.

11:24 p.m. – Jordan Thomas Nixon, 19, cited for driving uninsured, Main and 55th.

Aug. 22

2:07 a.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, Highway 228 and Brush Creek. Vehicle gone upon deputy arrival.

4:43 a.m. – Caller found a phone, 13th and Long. Placed in found property.

5:16 a.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 38, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

7:33 a.m. – Caller reported the gym was entered the prior evening, and the caller had footage, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary. Officer viewed the footage. Juveniles entered the gym, played basketball and then put everything away before leaving. Caller requested the juveniles be trespassed if identified.

7:34 a.m. – Jason Edward McCauley, 39, arrested for criminal trespass, 3100 block of Main.

9:15 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a $1,250 bicycle, 44900 block of Quartzville. Report taken.

11:52 a.m. – Caller reported a black Lab running at large, 23rd and Long. Dog placed in kennel, and Linn County Dog Control notified.

3 p.m. – Joseph Aldor Dunham, 41, arrested on two Linn County warrants for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrants for second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft, 1300 Nandina St.

3:41 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with a dog inside and windows rolled up, 1200 block of Main. Officer contacted the registered owner of the vehicle. The vehicle was running with air conditioning on. The dog had no issues.

3:50 p.m. – Caller reported an ongoing issue with a barking dog, 4800 block of 48th. Issue resolved prior to officer arrival.

3:54 p.m. – Caller found a laptop case with no laptop, 12th and Hawthorne. Placed in found property.

4:09 p.m. – Anthony Wade Holden, 29, arrested on Linn County warrants for material witness and probation violation on original charges of aggravated first-degree theft and first-degree forgery; Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of first-degree theft, first-degree possession of a forged instrument and a criminal citation; and Sweet Home warrant for third-degree escape and failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 18th and Main, Goodwill parking lot. Devin Tyler Thurman, 29, cited for driving uninsured and arrested for possession of meth. Vehicle impounded. Holden transported to Linn County Jail. Thurman cited and released. Vehicle impounded.

4:45 p.m. – Jason Edward McCauley, 39, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 3100 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:09 p.m. – Donald Charles Ackeret, 30, arrested for second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass, second-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:23 p.m. – Caller observed a cougar and cub on caller’s property earlier, 600 block of Mountain View. Caller to report sighting to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

6:35 p.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Springfield.

7:35 p.m. – Colton Robert Michael Rictor, 18, turned himself in on Linn County warrants for minor in possession of alcohol and failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:16 p.m. – Caller reported the back window in the caller’s car had been broken out, 1300 block of 45th. Report taken.

11:51 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked for more than a month, 1300 block of 45th. Vehicle posed for removal.

Aug. 21

6:12 a.m. – Caller reported a male got out of a vehicle and was walking around the neighborhood looking into vehicles and yards with a flashlight, 2200 block of Long. Officer contacted the male, who denied the activity. He said he was just playing his harmonica. Officer counseled him on his actions. He left the area on foot.

7:33 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered the locker room and took items, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

8:41 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with a flat tire parked on the roadway for almost four months, 900 block of Nandina. Vehicle posted for removal.

8:45 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was entered a week or two earlier and items were taken, 1000 block of 23rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $325.

9:43 a.m. – Caller found a syringe on the ground, 9th and Nandina. Officer disposed of the item.

9:42 a.m. – Officer located a gaming chair, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Placed in found property.

11:10 a.m. – Kaitlyn Carpenter, 20, cited and released in field for possession of meth, and Steven Myers, 50, cited for failure to register vehicle and failure to carry proof of insurance, Main and Nandina. While on a traffic stop, drug detection dog alerted.

12:06 p.m. – Caller reported a juvenile on the playground with an Airsoft gun and a knife, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary. Officer responded. Juvenile gone upon arrival. Officer contacted mother, who said the juvenile had permission from Oak Heights to have lunch there. Officer contacted the school, which requested the juvenile be trespassed again. Mother and juvenile advised.

1:53 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole items, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Items recovered by business. Female later located and trespassed from location.

2:29 p.m. – Scheri Janae Oliver, 37, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Albany.

4:11 p.m. – Caller reported that someone left a bike in the driveway, 900 block of 27th. Placed in found property.

5:12 p.m. – Zachary Wayne Martinez, 26, cited for speeding, 60 mph in 45-mph zone, Main and 40th.

6:38 p.m. – Caller reported an intoxicated male arguing with neighbors and possibly getting ready to expose himself, 1600 block of 12th. Subject left on foot prior to officer arrival. The subject left a vehicle in front of the caller’s residence. The plates on the vehicle did not match the vehicle identification number. Plates seized. Keys seized for safekeeping.

6:41 p.m. – Caller reported a female in the caller’s neighbor’s garbage spreading it around, 1600 block of 9th. Caller thought she might be going up and down the street going through trash. Officer advised female to cease.

8:13 p.m. – Caller reported that someone left a duffle bag on the sidewalk in front of her house, 1900 block of Long. Placed in found property.

8:29 p.m. – Caller reported a German shepherd running at large, 1100 block of 4th. Caller advised it was an ongoing issue. Owner retrieved dog prior to officer arrival. Owner warned for dog at large.

Aug. 20

12:11 a.m. – Caller reported a single-vehicle crash, 44700 block of Quartzville. No injury. Driver inadvertently drove into a ditch.

8:55 a.m. – Caller reported items stolen, 48000 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

3:13 p.m. – Lisa Beth Richards, 51, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

4:37 p.m. – Caller reported that he was skyped by someone from outside the country and his life was threatened, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Information noted.

5:45 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor got into his mailbox and threw his mail in brier bushes, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Information noted.

7:28 p.m. – Caller reported that someone hit his parked truck, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Report taken.

8:31 p.m. – Caller reported finding a needle and a small baggie of a crystal substance, 1300 block of Sunset. Officer disposed of the items.

Aug. 19

10:19 a.m. – Elizabeth Lynn Brown, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

10:45 a.m. – Caller reported items taken from a garage, 28700 block of Highway 20.

11:02 a.m. – Eugene James May, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Grand Ronde Tribal Police.

11:59 a.m. – Caller reported a female violated a restraining order, 40100 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

3:03 p.m. – Caller turned in possible drugs he found on a bus he drives, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Property seized.

7:15 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless camp, Cedar and 11th. Officer located a tent off the trail. No one was around. Officer to attempt contact later.

7:42 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer responded. Dog returned to owner.

8:01 p.m. – Caller found keys, 28th and Foothills. Placed in found property.
