December 6

9:06 a.m. – Caller reported a bike cart theft from a residence in the 1230 block of Nandina St. Officer responded; report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $100.

5:48 p.m. – Parker Del Mowdy, 25, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of animal abandonment, Linn County Jail.

December 7

7:38 a.m. – Denis George Jacobs, 85, was cited for failing to stop for a school bus, Long St./38th Ave.

10:20 a.m. – Caller reported a Dec. 2 theft at Hoy’s Hardware, 3041 Main St. Officer responded; report taken. Value: $159.99.

2:21 p.m. – Received a report of an ATV rider on Cascade Timber property that was closed to all motor vehicles, which included ATVs. Subject refused to identify himself to Cascade Timber security and rode off. Under investigation. The actual location of this incident is unclear, and the Sheriff’s Office did not respond to a request for clarification. . 

3:39 p.m. – Cameron Michael Wark, 32, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.

4:03 p.m. – Earl Ryan Dodge, 27, was arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree forgery and first-degree possession of a forged instrument. Also arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X2, failure to appear on an original charge of criminal citation X3, and failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession, 1950 Main St. Sweet Home Police Department.

4:18 p.m. – Deputies patrolling the Weyerhaeuser property in the 40000 block of Upper Calapooia Road found two separate vehicles illegally parked, with occupants looking to collect rocks. Rules were explained and the intruders left the area without incident. 

11:23 p.m. – Avery William Freeman, 25, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of reckless driving, Linn County Jail.

December 8

2:26 p.m. – David Russell, 40, of Sweet Home, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle after a U-Haul was reported stolen was located at Sunnyside Park, 44900 Quartzville Road. Report taken.

3:29 p.m. – Erica Paige Hammett, 24, was cited and released for third-degree theft at Thriftway, 621 Main St.

5:53 p.m. – Joshua McLean, 31, was cited for a dangerous left turn, 23rd Ave./Main St. Brien Cockrell, 47, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

December 9 

12:14 a.m. – Caller reported a mail theft in the 43100 block of North River Drive. Report taken. 

1:41 a.m. – Sean Robinson, 43, of Sweet Home, was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop, Riggs Hill Road/Viewpoint Lane. Also cited for driving while suspended. Report taken.

1:52 a.m. – Codi Pearsall, 18, of Sweet Home, was cited for speeding, 83/55, Hwy. 20/Country Lane.  

2:52 a.m. – Christopher Carl Womack, 51, was cited and released on an Albany Municipal warrant for driving with a suspended license, Northside Park.

4:59 a.m. – Caller reported a firearm and work ID theft from an unlocked vehicle, 1260 block of Linden Ct. Officer responded; report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree theft.

8:05 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle break-in the previous evening in the 1740 block of Main St. Officer responded; report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal mischief. Approximate cost of damages: $100.

3:53 p.m. – Caller reported that a male paid a tab with a fake $100 bill at Veterans Club, 580 Main St. Officer responded; the item was seized at the caller’s request.

11:13 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 32, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1100 block of 12th Ave. Cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fourth-degree assault.

December 10

8:19 a.m. – Kristine Grover, 49, of Sweet Home, was cited for speeding, 75/55, 30300 block of Santiam Hwy.

10:21 a.m. – Caller reported that someone had stolen and cashed a money order she sent to her son in Sweet Home, 27900 block of Fern Ridge Road. Report taken.  

4:39 p.m. – Sophie Rose Huss, 23, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft of services, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

4:45 p.m. – Caller turned in a debit card found near a mailbox, 2400 block of Long St. Placed in Property.

8:32 p.m. – Caller reported a chainsaw theft from the back of his pickup, 1000 block of Long St. Officer responded; report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. Approximate loss of value $300.

8:12 p.m. – Anita Wolfe-Holley, 48, was cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a second-degree charge, 2200 block of Long St.

11:01 p.m. – Paul William Kizer, 36, was cited and released on a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to perform duties of a driver, 1200 block of Nandina St. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and failure to carry proof of insurance.

December 11

2:18 a.m. – Mary Alice Nelson, 48, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court after an original charge of driving with a suspended license, 1100 block of Elm St.

4:55 p.m. – Caller reported tele-phonic harassment in the 25000 block of West Brush Creek Road. Report taken. Investigation ongoing.  

5:02 p.m. – Shaw Jerred Valentine, 32, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation, 2400 block of Main St.

6:03 p.m. – Denis Parker, 42, was cited for driving with a suspended license, failure to register vehicle and failure to carry proof of insurance, 46th Ave./Main St.

December 12

9:05 a.m. – Tim Roebuck, 39, and Athena Noble, 39, both of Sweet Home, were rescued after spending the night stuck in snow on 1509 Road on Santiam Pass. They were aided by Linn County deputies, U.S. Forest Service and ODOT.  

11:14 a.m. – Officer found money at location, Upper Sankey. Item placed in Property.

12:58 p.m. – Non-injury crash reported in the 42000 block of North River Drive. Deputy responded, but driver turned out to be friend of property owner and had already paid him for fence damage.

1:28 p.m. – Non-injury crash reported in the 39300 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Trailer came off truck and hit power pole. According to the Sheriff’s log, operator Robin Callaham, 54, of Sweet Home, was unfamiliar with trailers and did not have it properly secured. No citations. Report taken.

2:53 p.m. – Caller reported that a male assaulted another male, Old City Hall. Officer responded; report taken for fourth-degree assault.

5:55 p.m. – Jason Edward Brendel, 54, was cited for dog at large, Sweet Home Police Department.
