11:21 a.m. – Kevin Wayne Johnston, 19, cited for careless driving in two-vehicle crash, 12th and Tamarack. Second driver was Karla Yesenia Reed, 30. No injuries.
12:39 p.m. – Employee found wallet in parking lot, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer responded, seized wallet and returned property to owner.
6:10 p.m. – Caller reported her sister was supposed to come to Christmas dinner at her mother’s house and did not show, 1100 block of 18th. Caller had been unable to reach her by phone. Officer responded and found vehicle running inside closed attached garage. Officer entered the residence to check on welfare and found a deceased female inside the residence. A high level of carbon monoxide was present throughout the home. Report taken.
8:26 p.m. – Three callers reported a male choking, kicking and banging a female’s head off a vehicle, 1000 block of Main. Officer responded and contacted mother and adult son, who told conflicting stories. The mother stated her only injury was from tripping on the curb. Neither party wished to pursue charges. Another family member responded to take the children that were in the vehicle.
10:04 p.m. – Caller reported someone threw household garbage into the dumpster, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Officer contacted the owner of the items. The owner admitted to dumping the items and was counseled.
Dec. 24
10:05 a.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 1183 23rd Ave. No injuries. No citations. Drivers were Joseph Irvin Glasscock, 62, and Christopher Boyd Mink, 31.
7:43 p.m. – Caller found an OSU debit card in the parking lot, 2405 Main St., Circle K. The owner’s husband called to inquire if it had been turned in. The owner responded, and the card was returned.
8:09 p.m. – Caller reported male drinking a beer and walking behind the Fire Hall. Male had not stopped and was urinating. Officer responded and contacted intoxicated male who was looking for a friend’s house and got turned around. Officer pointed him in the right direction.
Dec. 23
3:53 a.m. – Brandon Gregory, 17, referred to Juvenile Department for driving under the influence and assault in single-vehicle crash, 26100 block of Old Holley Road. Minor injuries. Transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Vehicle missed a 90-degree corner and went through a ditch and brush. Gregory walked to a neighboring house and called the Sheriff’s Office. Gregory was allegedly intoxicated and combative with the medics at the scene and on the way to the hospital, allegedly assaulting two of the medics.
10:52 a.m. – Caller reported someone using her debit card without permission.
11:03 a.m. – Dustyn Lee Barcus, 35, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of menacing, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.
12:47 a.m. – Michelle Jessica Whips, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
1:04 p.m. – Lynette Irene Leslie, 33, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of providing false information, 2200 block of Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.
4:45 p.m. – Elbert Samuel Hackworth, 53, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Nandina and 13th. Transported to Linn County Jail.
5:45 p.m. – Caller reported that neighbor was just outside urinating through the caller’s cyclone fence onto his shrubs, 1000 block of First. Officer responded. Spoke with both parties. Information noted. Neighborhood dispute.
8:09 p.m. – Caller reported what sounded like gunshots east of location, 6100 block of Main. Officer responded, checked area and talked to caller who said it was possibly fireworks but was sure the sound came from the east. Officer unable to locate anything suspicious.
8:42 p.m. – Caller reported male slumped over wheel inside vehicle, Ironwood and Sixth. Officer responded. Contacted two subjects who were asleep. A fuse in the vehicle had blown, and the headlights weren’t working. Subjects were homeless and sleeping in vehicle where they lost the headlights. They were advised of the complaint.
Dec. 22
11:01 a.m. – Caller reported that a fire had been set inside an old horse trailer a week earlier, 44000 block of Wiley Creek. No serious damage to the trailer. Some paint cans caught on fire. The caller, a friend of the owner of the trailer put out the fire with water. Deputies are attempting to contact owner of trailer. No known value of damage.
12:28 p.m. – Caller reported that a male subject has not been seen for about a week, 800 block of Second. Mail is piling up, and car is in garage. Officers responded and found unconscious male. Medics responded and transported male to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Family resecured home.
3:12 p.m. – Stacey Dawn Fuesler, 39, cited for dog at large, Mountain View and Cedar.
5:21 p.m. – James Andrew Linder, 23, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 610 Main St. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.
5:23 p.m. – Dallas Andrew Samson, 29, arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon and probation violation, 610 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
6:55 p.m. – Joseph Martin Wagner, 25, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of fourth-degree assault and menacing, 3224 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.
7:23 p.m. – Joseph Martin Wagner, 25, cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and arrested for possession of controlled substance, schedule three, 1950 Main St. Officer allegedly found marijuana while searching Wagner.
Dec. 21
9:18 a.m. – Caller reported male drove off without paying for $10 worth of gasoline, 1810 Main St., 76 station. report taken.
2:25 p.m. – Caller reported wallet stolen on Dec. 14, and someone has been trying to use her debit card. Officer responded. No money taken from account. Caller had no documentation for when card was used. Card locked after repeated attempts to get cash out.
3:57 p.m. – Joseph Clayton Pritchett, 49, arrested on six Linn County warrants, including two counts of first-degree failure to appear; failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth; possession of meth; failure to appear on original charge of first-degree failure to appear; and attempting to elude. Also arrested on new charges, including providing false information to a police officer, misdemeanor driving while suspended, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, attempting to elude on foot, interfering with a police officer and third-degree escape and cited for failure to drive within lane, 1900 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail. Shannon Lynn Johnson, 41, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of hindering prosecution. Cited and released.
7:30 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 44800 block of Quartzville. Minor injuries. Driver Dwight C. La Fave, 39, cited for careless driving. Vehicle was flipped on its side on a side road.
Dec. 20
2:45 a.m. – Newspaper delivery driver reported seeing a cougar in the area one week prior, 28000 block of Pleasant Valley, near Little Promises. Caller was also a recreational hunter and estimated the weight of the cougar at approximately 120 pounds. Referred to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
5:08 p.m. – Caller reported someone had placed a chair in the middle of the street, 22nd and Larch. Officer responded. Chair removed from roadway.
3:09 p.m. – Caller reported about a half tank of gasoline stolen from his truck during the night. Valve in tank was damaged. Officer took report for second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft, 4600 block of Live Oak.
Dec. 19
3:04 p.m. – Caller reported nutria shot with a shotgun, 4300 block of Long. Officer responded and contacted both parties. Nothing to suggest nutria was shot with a shotgun. Nutria was in a ditch. Public works advised.
3:33 p.m. – Caller reported that a male child was wandering Main wearing only a diaper, 23rd and Main. Second caller found child and had child with her. Officers located child’s home. Child returned. He was being watched by a 13-year-old sister, who neglected duties. Sister has been warned, and mother returned home and took care of discipline issues.
7:46 p.m. – Caller reported someone stole his pickup while he was inside, 4824 Main St. Officer responded. A friend had moved pickup around the corner to play a prank on the caller. Caller and friend worked it out.
11:41 p.m. – Brandon D. Davis, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to carry and present license, Douglas County. Cited and released.
