Dec. 21

7:13 a.m. – Caller reported her neighbor drove into a ditch, 2600 block of Harding. Officer responded, vehicle removed from the ditch by the homeowner. Report taken for theft, investigation ongoing. Deborah Jannea Leonard, 58, cited on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of prostitution, forgery, and two counts of theft.

8:06 a.m. – Caller reported burglary in 28000 block of Pleasant Valley Road. $2,000 in tools taken from job location. Report taken.

12:16 p.m. – Officer located a minor with tobacco, Northside Park. 14-year-old girl referred to juvenile department for minor in possession of tobacco, released to a parent.

1:14 p.m. – Albany Police served a warrant to Steven Andrew Williamson, 52, for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

2:21 p.m. – Dillon White, 25, of Sweet Home, taken into custody and transported to Linn County Jail for violation of release agreement after report of domestic disturbance in 38500 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

8:28 p.m. – Officer located female with a warrant, 1700 block of Main. Denise Rochelle Burrow, 53, arrested on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of meth.

8:41 p.m. – Diana Lynn Hall, 63, arrested on a Brownsville warrant for failure to appear on a citation, and a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a citation of theft, 1500 block of Main.

9:35 p.m. – Albany Police located Jacob Mitchell Thurber, 28, cited on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft.

Dec. 22

12:08 p.m. – Caller reported a male acting strange and waving his arms at traffic, Elm and Mountain View. Officer responded, contacted male who was trying to prank the residents.

2:06 p.m. – Peter Robert Piazza, 36, turned himself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of animal neglect, 1950 Main, SHPD.

2:41 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle was damaged sometime last week while parked at a location on the 4300 block of Citabria. Officer responded, info noted, unknown how damage occurred, damage under $2,500.

7:11 p.m. – Caller reported he was involved in a motor vehicle crash on 200 block of Main, both vehicles pulled off to the side of the road. Officer responded, Danny Burington arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

10:51 p.m. – Officer cited and released Anthony Ensley, 38, on a Linn County warrant for unlawful possession of meth, Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on two counts of criminal citations and one parole violation, and an Albany warrant for contempt of court, 1540 Main, Safeway.

Dec. 23

10:03 a.m. – Caller reported he was involved in a motor vehicle crash. Officer responded, parties exchanged info, Dustin James Jackman, 17, cited for driving uninsured.

11:06 a.m. – Caller reported her vehicle was hit in the parking lot sometime overnight, 1200 block of 23rd. Office responded, report taken for hit and run.

1:07 p.m. – Stolen trailer recovered in 43100 block North River Drive. Owner spotted 31-foot Jayco trailer with white and pink details. No details on where or when trailer was taken. Report taken.

4:45 p.m. – Caller reported a female stole her credit card and spent $2,000, caller located female and vehicle and is now in a verbal disagreement with her, 54th and Osage. Female left location in vehicle while caller was on phone with dispatch. Officer met with caller, report taken, investigation ongoing.

5:12 p.m. – Vehicle stopped for expired registration. Operator Jennifer WIllis, 35, of Arizona, cited for operating without privilege, driving uninsured, failure to display/switched plates, and warned for failure to register vehicle. 28400 block Highway 20/Dew Road.

7:33 p.m. – Caller reported a group of people looking into vehicles, 2400 block of Long. Officer responded, unable to locate group, not vehicles appeared tampered with, caller requested extra patrols in the area.

Dec. 24

1:35 a.m. – Officer located William McDaniel, 54, on a Lebanon warrant for a probation violation, 1118 Main, O’Reilly’s. Cited and released in the field.

5:20 a.m. – Caller reported her daughter’s vehicle was hit sometime overnight, 1900 block of 37th. Officer responded, report taken, vehicle owner will handle civilly with neighbor.

6:28 a.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported an unconscious person, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded, report taken.

12:36 p.m. – Caller reported a restraining order violation, 600 block of 8th. Officer responded, report taken, investigation ongoing.

1:58 p.m. – Per above entry, Randy Dale Ensley, 57, arrested for violation of a restraining order and lodged at Linn County Jail, 1100 block of 48th.

7:40 p.m. – Caller reported a female using drugs in a vehicle at Swans restaurant, 658 Main. Officer responded, located vehicle leaving location, followed but unable to get probable cause for a stop.

8:06 p.m. – Multiple callers reported hearing explosions in Crawfordsville area. Deputy located individual who was shooting “large quantities of Tannerite,” according to Sheriff’s log. Deputy asked shooter not to shoot Tannerite after dark. 38700 block Crawfordsville Drive.

11:51 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked at Hawthorne Elementary, male urinated on ground and is possibly drinking alcohol. Officer responded, male gone on arrival.

Dec. 25

12:46 p.m. – Caller reported her neighbors are arguing and one just threatened the other with a gun, 4200 block of Main. Officer responded, verbal disturbance over a loose dog, no firearm involved. Parties were counselled.

2:49 p.m. – Caller reported hearing 18 gunshots, 3100 block of Main. Officer heard the shots as well, occurred in the county.

3:12 p.m. – Caller reported his sister threw a cup and a fork at him, 100 block of Osage. Officer responded, 13-year-old arrested for harassment and referred to Linn Benton detention center. Both parties separated for remainder of the evening.

6:21 p.m. – Multiple callers reported hearing noises that sounded like explosions in the 800 block of Alder Street/Old Holley Road. Source of noises could not be identified by deputy.

6:45 p.m. – Caller reported finding child’s sled in roadway, 44700 block Quartzville Road. Sled was transported to the Sheriff’s Office, where it is being held.

9:48 p.m. – Caller reported a male who was previously trespassed from the location is trying to kick in the door, 600 block of 17th. Officer responded, caller had previously allowed the male back over the last few days, male gone on arrival, complainant will call back if he returns.

11:27 p.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle collision reported in 25000 block of Brush Creek/West Brush Creek Road. An 18-year-old driver from Stayton was unfamiliar with road and vehicle ran off road and struck roadside debris. Report taken.

11:42 p.m. – Caller reported male has returned and is pounding on the door, 600 block of 17th. Officer responded, Steven Kenneth Stitt, 36, arrested for a parole violation, lodged at Linn County Jail.

Dec. 26

8:46 a.m. – Caller reported she is house sitting at location, 600 block of Ironwood, and came in this morning to find the front door open. Nothing seems to be taken. Officer responded, info noted. Back door shows signs of forced entry, but unknown how old. Homeowners will call if they notice anything missing.

6:12 p.m. – Caller reported a female yelling at children, 415 Holley, Church of Nazarene. Officer responded, contacted female who said juveniles were antagonizing her; she was encouraged to ignore them.

7:54 p.m. – Officer located Shane William Wells, 44, at Thriftway, 621 Main. Cited and released on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to report as a sex offender and driving while suspended, a Lebanon warrant for a parole violation, and cited for driving while suspended, no motorcycle endorsement, and driving uninsured.

10:44 p.m. – Caller reported a male inappropriately touched his girlfriend and then threatened the caller when confronted, 1500 block of 9th. Officer responded, report taken for harassment and menacing.
