Jan. 9

12:42 p.m. – Caller reported theft of ATV from location between Jan. 7 and Jan. 8, 1200 block of Tamarack. Report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value was $200.

1:10 p.m. – Denise Marie Bonneville, 26, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

Jan. 8

3 p.m. – James Martin Meyer, 78, cited for permitting unlawful operation of motor vehicle. Danni Rae Glassley, 21, cited for no license and driving uninsured in single-vehicle crash, 1547 Tamarack. Vehicle reported breaking off fire hydrant and being high-centered on it. Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District and Public Works notified.

3:03 p.m. – Daniel Wayne Sutton, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

Jan. 7

12:59 a.m. – Joshua Eino Pruitt, 16, taken into custody for probation violation on original charge of runaway, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Trailer Park. Transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center.

8:55 a.m. – Caller reported all four tires on his vehicle were slashed, 3200 block of Main. Report taken. Approximate value was $400.

10:55 a.m. – Caller reported a male putting a sign up on a power pole in violation of city ordinance, 18th and Long. Officer responded. Sign removed.

1:20 p.m. – Ashley Mae Waters, 22, cited and released on Linn County warrant for unauthorized departure, 12th and Nandina.

6:28 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole approximately $300 worth of stereo equipment, behind All Star Pizza. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft.

8:31 p.m. – Caller reported stolen vehicle, 1000 block of Long. Report taken.

8:48 p.m. – Caller reported three juveniles in skate park after dark. Officer contacted three subjects, who were advised to move on. Parents were contacted.

9:35 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into her son’s vehicle while parked at Thriftway, 621 Main St. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft for a stolen stereo face plate.

Jan. 6

1:44 p.m. – Caller reported a female in a red coat waving her arms around and yelling for help, 22nd and Main. Officer contacted female who said she was trying to get a ride and was yelling that she had gas money. She was cautioned to stay out of the roadway.

6:24 p.m. – Kylee Clay Norberg, 21, turned himself in for not coming in for annual registration in time. Norberg arrested for failure to register as a sex offender, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

7:12 p.m. – Caller reported being on the back porch and hearing a loud explosion, seeing smoke and smelling an odor like ammunition from somewhere between his residence and Fern Lane, 400 block of Nandina. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate.

8:36 p.m. – Callers report bottle rockets, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer unable to locate. Contacted resident who adamantly denied using fireworks. She did hear them and believes they were coming from farther down the road.

9:16 p.m. – Eric Scott Roentz, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft, possession of meth and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence. Also cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 4610 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Jan. 5

12:14 p.m. – Julie Anne Thompson, 43, arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment and Vanessa Anne Thompson, 18, arrested for fourth-degree assault, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Both cited and released. Caller had reported a physical disturbance between parents at the high school.

1:31 p.m. – Davy Anthony Phillips, 39, arrested on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charges of contempt of court seeking punitive damages, 1500 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:20 p.m. – Caller reported graffiti on the wall of the auditorium, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken. Approximately $10 in damage.

4:07 p.m. – Anthony Edward Swartz, 15, referred to Juvenile Department for third-degree theft and released to parent, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Some $11.77 worth of goods were reported stolen.

5:19 p.m. – Tony Scott Harden, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charges of possession of a controlled substance schedule four, second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree theft and resisting arrest, Brownsville. Transported to Linn County Jail.

6:25 p.m. – Caller reported what sounded like gunshots in the area but stated it could be fireworks, 1200 block of 45th. Officer responded and was unable to locate source of noise.

8:02 p.m. – Caller reported three subjects who appear to be siphoning gasoline from a pickup at the Wagon Wheel Trailer Park. Officer contacted the subjects, who were siphoning gasoline from one vehicle to another, each owned by one of the subjects.

10:58 p.m. – Caller reported single vehicle in ditch, 38600 block Highway 228. Investigation revealed driver missed stop sign due to fog, ran into ditch. No report taken. Driver’s name not included in report.

Jan. 4

7 a.m. – Caller reported that she woke up and her husband was gone. She found a suicide note from him on the computer, Main Street in the Midway area. Officer responded. Male located. He was semiconscious. Medics transported the male to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

10:23 a.m. – Caller received a text message from her brother stating he was going to “take his life,” 23rd Avenue. Officer responded and contacted male’s wife. Male had not been seen since the night before. Officer checked several areas around Sweet Home and was unable to locate. A police officer located the missing man at 10:33 a.m. on Jan. 5 at 13th and Nandina.

11:27 a.m. – Caller reported that his neighbors are stealing his firewood, 1800 block of Grape. Report taken for third-degree theft.

2:41 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle while she was at work and stole a few items, 1200 block of Main. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. Items valued at $250.

6:15 p.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 31, arrested for unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 1400 block of Kalmia. Caller reported two males on the ground, one on top of the other. Second caller lost contact with 9-1-1 after advising that a male had attempted to break into his vehicle and the caller had tackled him. Oregon State Police reported two males at location, one of them caught attempting to break into the other’s vehicle.

10:18 p.m. – Three callers reported illegal fireworks, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer unable to locate anyone setting off fireworks.

Jan. 3

3:30 a.m. – Caller reported that she and a friend woke up to find the door of the residence standing open, 1800 block of Vine. Officer responded. They did not want the officer to clear the residence and believed the door was blown open by the wind. No further action.

6:48 a.m. – Edward Dale Barnes Jr., 21, cited for no license and driving uninsured in crash, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Trailer Park. Caller had reported someone hit her van while parked at the location, causing an estimated $3,500 in damage to the van.

7:54 a.m. – Caller reported that she believes someone killed her cat, 1800 block of Grape. Officer took report, and investigation is continuing.

12:12 p.m. – Kayla Marie Kragness, 16, referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of tobacco, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart.

5:35 p.m. – Caller reported that while he was gone someone broke into house, 1200 block of 55th. Report taken for first-degree burglary and first-degree theft. Approximately $2,500 in property taken.

8:25 p.m. –Caller reported theft of $360 in tools from back porch of residence at 41900 North River Drive. Door had been left unlocked and somone had made fire in fire pit. Report taken.

Jan. 2

7:42 p.m. – James Andrew Linder, 23, cited for driving while suspended, 13th and Kalmia.

11:04 p.m. – Nathan Allen Deffenbaugh arrested on state warrant for parole violation, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Trailer Park. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Jan. 1

Caller reported that he and his wife had been stuck in the snow on Road 11 off Highway 20, above Green Peter, for the past 15 hours. Located and vehicle removed by Lebanon Towing.

Dec. 31

5:35 a.m. –Caller reported single vehicle off road near McDowell Creek 600 Line, with six or seven people around it. Investigation revealed vehicle ran off MC-600 line and into tree. No injuries, driver was located, nobody wanted to discuss. Under investigation. 43100 block McDowell Creek Drive.

8:27 a.m. – Caller reported vehicle upside down in 41100 block of Highway 228. Deputies reponded and aided in traffic control. No other info or action by Sheriff’s Office.

Dec. 30

4:43 p.m. – Caller, who was out of state, reported that someone tried to break into his shop, 1000 block North River Drive. Front door kicked in, nothing taken. Door damage estimated at $200.

9:51 p.m. – Caller reported single-vehicle accident in 41700 block Upper Calapooia Dr. Vehicle hit rock wall going around curve. Non-injury, no citations issued.
