Dec. 4

2:54 a.m. – Geremy George Byzewski, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Linn County. Cited and released.

3:41 a.m. – Vehicle posted for removal on Dec. 6, 2400 block of Long.

6:29 a.m. – Caller reported that her 9-year-old daughter is refusing to go to school, 1700 block of Long. Officer responded. Juvenile going to school with mother.

Dec. 3

8:07 a.m. – Caller reported that a male stopped at a mailbox, took something out and left, 2000 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

2:18 p.m. – Caller reported a male with a machete walking westbound, 2400 block of Main. Officer contacted the male, who had just purchased the machete, which was legal for him to have.

5:14 p.m. – Caller reported people on library property had been asked to leave but they refused, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library. Officer contacted subjects and advised them of the complaint. They had already moved along.

6:55 p.m. – A 15-year-old male and 16-year-old female referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of marijuana, 2115 Larch St. Caller had reported that five juveniles at location may have been runaways.

7:41 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was out and standing in the front yard, 600 block of 10th. Owners were not home. While officer was trying to put the dog in the kennel, the dog ran out of the Police Department parking lot.

Dec. 2

12:45 a.m. – Oregon State Police reported a green Ford Explorer speeding and unable to maintain lane, 100 block of W. Holley. Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle. No signs of impairment. Operator counseled for his driving.

6:16 a.m. – Gary Gean Townsend, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Canby. Cited and released.

8:14 a.m. – Caller reported a tree and power lines down, Foster Dam Road and North River. Road Department and Consumers Power responded.

11:43 a.m. – Caller reported two loose dogs, 4900 block of Mimosa. Dogs placed in kennel and photos posted on social media.

12:49 p.m. – Caller reported several people gathered at the old video store, and the caller wanted them trespassed, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer contacted the subjects and warned them for trespassing. The collected their belongings and moved along.

1:14 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole items, 1200 block of 23rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $265.

2:43 p.m. – Caller located a bag with needles in it, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer seized the bag.

8:55 p.m. – James Ronald Rodman, 57, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence); fourth-degree assault; attempting to elude an officer, on foot and in vehicle; felon in possession of a weapon; and interfering with police, 580 Main St., Vet’s Club. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Dec. 1

8:22 a.m. – Officer recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Albany, 2200 block of Nandina. Report taken. Items seized from vehicle, and vehicle returned to owner.

9:09 a.m. – Bobby James Starr Rand, 35, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, 5465 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:53 a.m. – Marcus Wesley Hesson, 46, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of failure to register as a sex offender, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart parking lot. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:38 p.m. – Robert Aaron Davis, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Junction City. Cited and released.

1:08 p.m. – Caller reported that a male went to her house and said he was with the Sheriff’s office, 900 block of Main. The caller told him to leave, and he did. The male called, said he was an undercover officer and he was going to talk to the female about her dog biting people. Officer responded and contacted the male, who was having mental health issues. Male counseled for his actions.

3:53 p.m. – Caller reported a wood pile and shed over a property line and on city property, 1300 block of 44th. Referred to code enforcement.

9:18 p.m. – Caller reported that her husband would not allow her into the house, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken. Investigation continuing. Parties separated for the night.

9:27 p.m. – Caller reported that a car went off the road and crashed into trash cans, 400 block of Maple. Report taken for hit and run.

11:55 p.m. – Carolyne Dee Colgrove, 48, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 1100 block of Long.

Nov. 30

12:36 a.m. – A 76-year-old female caller requested assistance moving a microwave into her home, 1300 block of 13th. Officer assisted her.

2:32 a.m. – Nathan Allen Deffenbaugh, 41, cited and released in field on a Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of probation violation, 1200 12th Ave, Chewy’s.

7:37 a.m. – Issac Philip Waugh, 22, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of interfering with a police officer.

8:03 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle stolen from impound yard, 1801 Main St. Report taken.

10:30 a.m. – Caller reported several Christmas inflatables were taken from his yard during the night, 700 block of 7th. Report taken. Loss valued at $370.

11:19 a.m. – Caller reported a black Lab in her yard, 500 block of Elm. Dog placed in kennel.

2:33 p.m. – Caller found an old man mask in the bathroom, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Placed in found property.

5:43 p.m. – Caller reported that her son stole money from her bank account, 2400 block of Long. Officer contacted the caller and juvenile. The caller just wanted information noted and juvenile counseled.

6:11 p.m. – Caller reported that a stray dog showed up at the caller’s house, 900 block of 31st. The owner had called in the dog as an escaped lost dog earlier in the day. Officer contacted the owner and verified the dog was his. Officer escorted the owner to the caller’s residence, and dog released to its owner.

7:15 p.m. – Caller reported hearing six gunshots, and another caller reported hearing nine gunshots, 500 block of 9th. Officer contacted residents at the location. They denied the reported activity but advised that someone in the area had been setting off fireworks recently. Nearby residents confirmed the statement.

8:21 p.m. – Caller reported her son’s backpack stolen from his car, 1400 block of Main. Vehicle had been left unsecured. Report taken. Loss valued at $350.

8:41 p.m. – Phillip Randall Passmore, 51, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of hit and run, Philomath. Cited and released.

Nov. 29

2:10 a.m. – Caller reported that a male was trying to leave without paying his bill, 1200 12th, Chewy’s. Officer responded. Parties came to an agreement. The male paid half of his bill and was trespassed from the location. Male given courtesy ride home.

2:56 a.m. – Medics transported a victim of an overdose to the hospital, 1200 block of 44th.

9:04 a.m. – Gabrielle Kait Bernhardt, 21, arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released.

10:37 a.m. – Caller reported a tent set up on his vacant property, 3900 block of Osage. Unknown if someone was actively staying in it. Officer responded. No one was in the tent. He planned to keep an eye on it and have the night shift check on it.

10:31 a.m. – Caller reported finding two syringes on the sidewalk, 1700 block of Elm. Officer seized them for disposal.

11:31 a.m. – Lamar Lavonne Wilson, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon. Cited and released.

12:50 p.m. – Caller reported blackberries coming over the fence, 1300 block of Quince. Referred to code enforcement.

2:03 p.m. – Caller reported vehicles parking in the public right-of-way, 3700 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

2:47 p.m. – Johnny Lee Stone, 25, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

3:12 p.m. – Officer located a vehicle with the wrong plates, 2200 block of Nandina. Plates seized. Investigation continuing.

3:24 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor was sitting in his vehicle recording her with his phone, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer responded. Both parties were recording each other. Both were advised of the law and both requested the other be trespassed from their properties.

7:28 p.m. – Scott James Lutz, 47, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for driving uninsured, 890 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail. Vehicle impounded.

9:03 p.m. – Jimmy Rodger Varner, 50, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and illegal display of license plates, 43rd and Osage. Vehicle impounded.

Nov. 28

7:17 a.m. – Lebanon Police Department recovered a car reported stolen from Sweet Home.

7:20 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered three unlocked vehicles during the night, 1400 block of Fern. Report taken. Value of stolen items estimated at $20.35.

7:41 a.m. – Caller reported a female subject opening mailboxes, 4700 block of Long. Officer unable to locate.

9:29 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her vehicle during the night, 400 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $95.

10:37 a.m. – Caller found a debit card in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Placed in found property.

10:43 a.m. – Caller found a wallet and signed car title, 7th and Oak Terrace. Placed in found property.

11:11 a.m. – Alyssa Godell cited for crossing the center double yellow line and driving uninsured, 29200 block of Pleasant Valley.

11:48 a.m. – Caller reported being scammed out of $3,245 in a phone scam, 26900 block of Rowell Hill. Report taken.

12:51 p.m. – Caller reported that his grandson was being physically bullied and wanted the responsible juvenile counseled, 880 22nd Ave. Officer counseled both juveniles for their actions.

1:49 p.m. – Caller reported that a friend took her car without permission, 47600 block of Cascadia Drive. Report taken.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported a female who refused to leave, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Officer responded. Female trespassed from location.

3:58 p.m. – Caller reported two people living in an RV, 2200 block of Nandina. Referred to code enforcement.

4:35 p.m – Caller reported two packages taken from her porch, 4900 block of Main. Report taken.

6:08 p.m. – Desire Laree Tenbusch, 35, arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and possession of meth, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

7:04 p.m. – Caller reported that she shut her mother-in-law’s foot in the door and her mother-in-law punched her in the face, 4610 Main St. Officer responded. Caller advised of options.

Nov. 27

7:51 p.m. – Caller reported her vehicle stolen, 1300 block of 45th. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,500.

8:34 a.m. – Caller reported flooding issues in the neighborhood, 1300 block of Quince. Referred to code enforcement.

10:07 a.m. – Caller requested that an officer talk to her daughter who was refusing to go to school, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Officer responded. Juvenile went to school. Report to be forwarded to Department of Human Services.

10:08 a.m. – Caller reported her fence had been broken, 3200 block of Main. Report taken. Damage estimated at $75.

11:32 a.m. – Caller reported that a male and female took food from the deli without paying, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $11.

11:34 a.m. – Caller reported her vehicle was hit while parked, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Report taken.

11:57 a.m. – Caller reported that someone bent a fence and possibly entered his property during the weekend, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Officer contacted the caller. Minimal damage to fence. Police will provide extra patrol as time allows.

12:45 p.m. – Caller reported subjects burning garbage and living in trailers, 3600 block of Green River. Referred to code enforcement.

1:46 p.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, and Tanner Jewell cited for driving while suspended, 28400 block of Ridgeway. Cited and released.

2:39 p.m. – Caller reported that someone used her debit account to make a purchase in Florida, 800 block of Elm. Report taken. Loss valued at $279.

3:10 p.m. – Caller reported that a group of teenagers were trying to fight three adults, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. All were separated, and the adults were seen walking away from the park. Officer contacted a group of juveniles who appeared to be fighting upon arrival. They stated they were play-fighting. All were counseled on their actions.

4:53 p.m. – Stolen vehicle recovered, end of Ames Creek. Registered owner notified.

5:02 p.m. – Billy Gene Seibert, 53, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5:03 p.m. – Caller reported a dog was tied to a vehicle, 1300 block of Quince. Officer unable to locate any vehicles or dogs matching the description.

9:14 p.m. – Joshua Scott Dawson, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.
