Feb. 17

9:16 a.m. – Deputies located a dog running in the road and nearly being hit by cars, 28500 block of Pleasant Valley. Dog returned to owner.

Feb. 16

11:29 a.m. – Carrie Lynn Whitten, 36, arrested on a warrant for parole violation, 38300 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Transported to Linn County Jail.

Feb. 15

6:01 a.m. – Caller reported that someone tried to break into his truck during the night and in the morning he could hear people talking outside his apartment, 900 block of Long. He thought they want to hurt him. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate. Caller advised to call if he had further concerns.

Feb. 14

1:44 a.m. – Michell Dawn Slay, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Benton County. Cited and released.

7:35 a.m. – Caller reported a male lying on the side of the road and it appeared he fell off his bicycle and was injured, 2200 block of Main. Officer located the male, who was intoxicated and had been attempting to walk his bicycle back to his residence. He refused medical attention. Officer assisted him back home.

9:45 a.m. – Caller reported that a UPS truck sideswiped him in the OK Feed parking lot, 250 Main St. Officer assisted with exchange of information.

9:55 a.m. – Caller reported her garage was broken into during the night, 1100 block of 43rd. Report taken. Loss valued at $350.

10:41 a.m. – Caller reported that someone spray painted his vehicle, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Report taken.

12:41 p.m. – Caller reported someone siphoned fuel from her truck during the night, 1400 block of 53rd. Information noted.

1:13 p.m. – Caller reported two people had set up camp on church property, 2500 block of Long. Officer located a camp that had not been occupied for awhile. Caller said he would keep an eye on it.

2:04 p.m. – Caller reported three juvenile males attempting to break into a vacant residence, Kalmia and 14th. Officer contacted the juveniles. They did not attempt to break into the residence. They were being mischievous. Officer counseled them for their actions.

2:15 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash, 45400 block of Wiley Creek. No injuries.

3:25 p.m. – Robert Aaron Davis, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:09 p.m. – Caller reported cars parked on the sidewalk in the clear vision area obstructing motorists’ view, 47th and Main. Referred to code enforcement.

4:38 p.m. – Caller reported a male dumped garbage on the ground and left, Shea Point. Officer unable to locate male or identify who the trash belonged to. Officer collected the trash and threw it away.

5:16 p.m. – Aron Johan Van-dijk, 35, cited and released in the field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and a new charge of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, Oak Terrace and 9th.

6:31 p.m. – Caller reported her ex-husband’s girlfriend was threatening her via Facebook, 1200 block of 41st. Officer contacted the female and warned her for telephonic harassment.

10 p.m. – Caller reported a dog barking, 3100 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

Feb. 13

5:53 p.m. – Andrew James Engelhart, 26, cited for driving while suspended, 10th and Main.

7:21 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle ran into her in the Thriftway parking lot, 621 Main St. She said she had minor injuries but did not want medical assistance. Officer responded and assisted with exchange of information.

8:28 a.m. – Caller reported her son’s truck stolen, 3400 block of Main. Report taken.

11:29 a.m. – James Andrew Linder, 29, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charges of second-degree theft, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and probation violation and Albany warrant for third-degree theft, 2454 Long St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:30 a.m. – Breanna Marie Mansell, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 2454 Long St. Cited and released.

2:14 p.m. – A 17-year-old female arrested for third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released. Loss valued at $19.98.

2:58 p.m. – Caller reported her license plate stolen from her car during the previous four days, 3100 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $34.

3:29 p.m. – Jason Michael Comer, 40, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Cited and released. Caller had reported that a male who had been trespassed had entered the store and was having a key made.

3:48 p.m. – Johnny Lee Stone, 25, arrested for third-degree theft, and Corey Alan Waterman, 37, arrested on state warrant for parole violation and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and a new charge of third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Stone cited and released. Waterman transported to Linn County Jail.

5:01 p.m. – Caller turned in drug paraphernalia she found when her son moved out, 1300 block of Grape. Items seized for destruction.

5:48 p.m. – Caller reported garbage and vehicles in violation of city ordinance, 1200 block of Wiley Creek. Referred to code enforcement.

6:23 p.m. – Caller reported someone wrote some checks from his account, 1300 block of 47th. Report taken. Loss valued at $465.

7:53 p.m. – Anthony Wade Holden, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree aggravated theft, Benton County warrant for first-degree theft and a new charge of second-degree forgery and cited for no license, 49th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:04 p.m. – Kristina Larizza Boswell, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Benton County. Cited and released.

10:33 p.m. – Caller reported the door to a residence had been kicked in, 1200 block of 44th. Officer checked residence. Nothing inside. Damage valued at $25.

Feb. 12

10:31 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of a chainsaw, 39600 block of Highway 228. Report taken.

11:11 a.m. – Caller reported two small dogs at large, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Officer unable to locate.

11:30 a.m. – Marcus Charles Dodson, 25, arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Cited and released. Caller had reported a shoplifter detained by store employees.

12:19 p.m. – Caller reported a Honda parked on the street for several months, 900 block of 3rd. Vehicle tagged for removal.

12:37 p.m. – Vehicle tagged for removal, 4th and Juniper.

1:39 p.m. – Caller reported lawn lights taken around Feb. 1, 1100 block of 24th. Report taken. Loss estimated at less than $20.

2:49 p.m. – Caller reported grass and brush growing over her fence from a vacant lot, 1900 block of 22nd. Referred to code enforcement.

4:40 p.m. – Caller reported two teenagers were letting their dog run loose around the park and then it jumped on her child, 1700 block of 11th. Officer contacted two juveniles with a puppy-sized dog off a leash, They were advised of the complaint and told to put a leash on the dog. Parent also advised via phone contact.

5 p.m. – Caller reported several credit cards opened in his name, 1100 block of 29th. Report taken.

6:33 p.m. – Kaleb James Elmer, 21, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Philomath warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, 2425 Main St. Cited and released.

7:01 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her neighbor’s house, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken for criminal trespass.

8:28 p.m. – Caller reported a couple of kids sneaking around her house while wearing sheets, 4100 block of Osage. Officer responded. Juveniles gone on arrival.

9:47 p.m. – Irene M. Brenneman, 67, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 18th and Long.
