9:15 a.m. – Bobby Ray Fowler, 52, arrested
for first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft, 15th and
Main. Cited and released.
10:41 a.m. – Caller reported that he heard
from a cousin that when the cousin was ticketed in Sweet Home, he gave the
caller’s name, 1200 block of Nandina. Investigation continuing.
11:59 a.m. – Caller reported her purse was
stolen from her car, 300 block of Nandina. Report taken.
1:40 p.m. – Caller reported her husband
found a purse in a creek running behind the caller’s house, 000 block of

4:57 a.m. – Cameron Joseph Hackworth, 37,
arrested for driving under the influence, on Linn County warrant for failure to
appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and on Sweet Home warrant
for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, milepost 21
Highway 20. Cited and released. Vehicle impounded.
8 a.m. – Cameron Joseph Hackworth, 37,
arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 1297 41st Ave.

10:40 a.m. – Caller reported that the city
has requested that a woman not have garage sales due to a lack of parking, but
she set one up, 1200 block of 44th. Referred to code enforcement.
10:43 a.m. – Caller reported a dog bite, and
the victim went to the emergency room, 300 block of West Pine. Dog ordered into
quarantine.
1:31 p.m. – Caller reported a large, disturbingly
noisy exotic bird in the backyard, 2400 block of Harding. Referred to code

9:37 p.m. – Caller reported that someone
attempted to break into his residence, 500 block of Sixth. Entry not gained.

12:41 p.m. – Cindi Marie Gibson, 44,
arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of
second-degree animal neglect, 300 Hwy. 228, Stonebrook Apartments. Transported
to Linn County Jail.
2:48 p.m. – Caller reported a male subject
having a difficult time walking, 1500 block of Main. Officer provided a
courtesy transport home. The male’s power chair had broken down, and he was
attempting to locate someone to repair it.

8:58 p.m. – Brian Lynn Wagner, 34, arrested
for misdemeanor driving while suspended and on Linn County warrant for failure
to appear (owes eight days in jail) and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court,
probation violation and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Transported to Linn County Jail. Vehicle impounded.
9:42 a.m. – Officer located abandoned
vehicle in roadway, Mountain View and Juniper. Registered owner contacted, and
vehicle towed to owner’s address.

was stolen from his boat, and cables were cut, 1300 block of 45th.

8:45 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of
food and box of medications, 2300 block of Long. Report taken.
9:36 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds, 1300

10:50 a.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 13thand Main. Drivers were Joy Marie Thorson, 55, and Renae Lynn Hoover, 50. No

1:41 p.m. – Megan Katherine Courtney, 25,
arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of
carrying concealed weapon, Corvallis.
3:53 p.m. – Lance Allen Carter, 26, cited
for failure to change registration, driving uninsured and failure to carry
proof of insurance, Mountain View and Ames Creek.
5:02 p.m. – Caller reported someone possibly
living in an RV, 1000 block of Mountain View. Referred to code enforcement.

5:58 p.m. – Caller reported that her vehicle
was hit by another vehicle, causing damage, less than $1,500; and the other

10:53 p.m. – Nickolaus Richard Campbell, 25,
cited for driving while suspended, 2400 block of Main.
11:19 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a
male being beaten with a baseball bat at Sankey Park, and the suspects put him
in their vehicle. Investigation continuing.
July 23
12:02 a.m. – Caller reported that someone
was driving down the road pulling a garbage can behind the vehicle, leaving a
trail of trash in the roadway, 300 block of Mountain View. Officer responded.
Trash can also had been dropped. Caller cleaned the roadway and took possession
of the trash can with plans to contact Sweet Home Sanitation.
12:23 p.m. – Caller reported that someone
just hit his mailbox with a vehicle and a garbage can, 1800 block of Elm.
Report taken. Damage estimated at $50.
8:37 a.m. – Caller reported that a possibly
intoxicated driver hit a garbage can and left garbage scattered everywhere,
Hawthorne and 14th. Report taken. Garbage can returned to owner.
Public Works assisted in cleanup.
9:51 p.m. – Caller reported graffiti on the
side of the building, 1234 Long St., Downtown. Report taken.
11:25 a.m. – Caller reported tall weeds,
4500 block of Airport Lane. Referred to code enforcement.
1:38 p.m. – Caller’s daughter received a
harassing phone call from someone impersonating a police officer, 1100 block of
First. Information noted. Caller advised to call back if there are further

on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor
driving while suspended, Lebanon. Cited and released.
3:32 p.m. – Caller reported that someone had
accessed his son’s bank account using his debit card, 1200 block of 44th.

released. Caller had reported a
male subject lying on the sidewalk and trying to fight with the caller when the
caller attempted to help him.
9:19 a.m. – Linda Ann Armstrong, 50, turned
herself in on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of
driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited
and released.
9:45 a.m. – Caller reported her laptop was
stolen and pawned in Albany, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home
Park. Report taken. Value was about $400.
1:05 p.m. – Caller found a Samsung tablet
left by a silver car at Shea Point. Officer seized the tablet and placed it
into property.
3:09 p.m. – Ashley Marie Smith, 23, arrested
for fourth-degree assault, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited
and released.
3:29 p.m. – Caller reported an occupied
trailer next to the Post Office, 1400 block of 53rd. Referred to

3:31 p.m. – Caller reported people living in

reported that someone had broken into the residence, 1300 block of Poplar.

3:25 p.m. – Serna Michael Casarez, 19, a
passenger in a vehicle, cited and released in field for offensive litter and
cited for minor in possession of alcohol and open container in vehicle, Highway
20. Officer seized a case of beer. Caller had reported two eastbound vehicles
headed toward Sweet Home and swerving all over the roadway.
4:25 p.m. – Dawn Marie Bullock, 34, turned
herself in on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of
fourth-degree assault, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported
to Linn County Jail.
10:22 p.m. – Caller reported a male sitting
in the back of an apartment with a rifle pointing at the apartment with a laser
sight, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer responded. The male subject was
bore sighting the rifle. Officer counseled the subject and advised him to take
it into the woods or to a range.
11:19 p.m. – Thomas Hernandez, 49, cited for
no license, Wells Fargo parking lot.
