June 3

12:41 p.m. – Patrick lee McNees, 19, cited for dangerous left turn in a two-vehicle crash, 15th and Main. Officers responded to multiple calls. Drivers were Nene Mauer Garcia, 18, and McNees. No injuries.

June 2

12:15 a.m. – Dalton Lee Bergevin, 21, arrested for driving under the influence at site of the old bowling center. Cited and released.

3:29 p.m. – “Tall object” reported on railroad tracks about 100 yards east of 12th Avenue. Officer retrieved old tire that had been left standing up on the tracks.

7:51 p.m. – Joshua David Denbo, 19, arrested for third-degree theft after a report that a male had stolen two family-sized packs of meat from Safeway. Cited and released.

May 31

10:45 p.m. – Leonard Eugene Scott, 53, arrested in Jackson County on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree trespass.

May 30

12:06 a.m. – Ashley Mae Waters, 23, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court bench warrant for possession of meth and initiating a false report, a Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, an Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charges of contempt of court , third-degree escape and resisting arrest, 1300 block Nandina Street. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:17 a.m. – Ashley Mae Waters, 23, arrested for third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass after a witness reported that she had stolen items from Safeway immediately before her previous arrest (see above).

11:21 a.m. – Theodore Eugene Shinall, 35, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and failure to serve two days, 6281 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

1:02 p.m. – James Frank Gerard, 23, arrested for first-degree assault after he turned himself in at Sweet Home Police Department. Lodged at Linn County Jail.

May 29

8:13 a.m. – Mark Douglas LaCoste, 18, cited for speed, 39 mph in a school zone, 4700 block of Main Street.

8:21 a.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 17, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving-while-suspended, Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of hit and run (failure to perform the duties of a driver and Lebanon warrant for failure to appear. McNees also cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, 2405 Main St. Circle K. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

10:39 a.m. – Tracy Neal Hayes, 47, arrested for harassment (domestic violence), 1250 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:50 a.m. – Criminal mischief report taken for back window broken out of truck, 1600 block of Long.

11:28 a.m. – Tracy Neal Hayes, 47, cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana while in custody, 1250 Main St.

12:14 p.m. – Caller reported planter boxes taken from home in 1800 Fir St. Report taken for boxes valued at $55. Plants located at neighbor’s house and returned to owner. Investigation continuing.

5:01 p.m. – Bobby James Mize, 29, arrested for violation of a restraining order, 3585 Juniper St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

May 28

8:30 a.m. – Caller reported finding a cell phone with a baggie stuck on the inside of it, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Property seized. Officer would attempt to locate owner.

9:18 a.m. – Caller reported someone tried to break in, 550 Main St., Ames Creek Realty. Back door glass damaged by BB gun. Report taken.

11:15 a.m. – Two-vehicle crash, 1900 block of Main. Officer assisted in exchanging information. Motorcycle towed away.

11:18 a.m. – Caller reported that a side window had been shot out with a BB gun, 646 Hwy. 228., Sweet Home Physical and Rehabilitation. Report taken.

1:08 p.m. – Caller reported an employee had found a baggie with drug paraphernalia inside it, 605 Elm St., Oak Heights Elementary. Property seized for destruction.

1:35 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bike, a long board skateboard and in-line skates in the brush near Lewis Creek Park, 44400 block North Valley Drive.

2:04 p.m. – Jennifer Lynn Harp, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of possession of less than one ounce of controlled substance. Cited and released.

6:59 p.m. – Scott Kevin Heintz, 26, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt on original charge of second-degree theft and probation violation. Cited and released.

7:11 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 25, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct after multiple callers reported disturbance, 2400 block of Long Street. Cited and released.

7:30 p.m. – Irma Louise Snyder, 49, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct after caller reported two females chasing and hitting each other on Long Street near Sweet Home High School. Cited, held for detox and released.

8:28 p.m. – Scott Kevin Heintz, 26, arrested for fourth-degree assault after a reported disturbance, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

May 27

4:19 a.m. – Michael Steven Mason, 26, arrested for driving under the influence, 1355 Pleasant Valley Road. Cited and released.

9:50 a.m. – Caller reported that someone left a shopping cart full of garbage, 1300 block of Meadowlark. Officer responded. Cart was mainly full of garbage. A purse was seized for safekeeping. Caller said he would get rid of the garbage and advise the Police Department if Public Works needs to pick up the remainder of the property later.

11:26 a.m. – Breanna Nicole Hall, 19, cited for failure to use seatbelt, Main and 23rd.

11:44 a.m. – Bradley Edward Amundsen, 32, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving while suspended and a new charge of possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, 1500 block of Main. Cited and released.

11:59 a.m. – Ryan Jeremy Underwood, 41, cited for failure to renew registration, and Paula Fern Underwood, 38, cited for failure to use seatbelt, Highway 228 and Long.

1:10 p.m. – Caller reported that sometime within the last two weeks her purse was stolen or lost, 2000 block of Main. Report taken.

3:53 p.m. – Caller reported a lock was broken off of a mailbox over the weekend, 900 block of Grape. Report taken.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported a damaged car, 2200 block of Harding. Report taken.

5:25 p.m. – Caller reported the young kid next door was throwing stuff at the caller’s house and trying to hit the caller. Officer contacted all parties and counseled juvenile for the actions.

10:21 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle backed into a pickup and left east on Main Street, A&W parking lot. Report taken.

10:35 p.m. – Caller reported that the driver of a vehicle intentionally ran a cart into her vehicle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

May 26

10:05 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was vandalized, 3100 block of Main. Report taken.

2:12 p.m. – Caller reported subjects riding dirt bikes on the new roads in the old airport, 4500 block of Long. Officer contacted two subjects and warned them not to ride ATVs on the roadway.

5:03 p.m. – Caller reported neighbors were target practicing with a bow, and it landed in her yard near her children’s swing set, 1800 block of Ulex. Officer contacted and warned subject for violating the city ordinance.

6:18 p.m. – Caller reported a subject riding a mini-bike up and down the street. Officer contacted and warned male who admitted to the activity.

7:48 p.m. – Thomas Earl Goble, 18, arrested for third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

9:41 p.m. – Richard F. Burnside Jr., 22, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft (owes 10 days in jail), Nandina and 12th. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:21 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Property valued at $36.19.

May 25

2:46 p.m. – Brian Daniel Timme, 40, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and operation of a vehicle while using a mobile communications device, Ma’s Restaurant.

3:51 p.m. – Kevin Shelton Santana, 41, cited for intoxication in a park, 877 14th Ave., Sankey Park. Caller had reported a male subject yelling and dancing around while attempting to juggle knives.

4:21 p.m. – Caller’s vehicle had been loaned to a friend for the past few months. The friend told the caller the vehicle ran out of gas so he left it parked at the weigh station at Foster Lake. Upon returning to the location the vehicle was gone. The caller says he only knows the friend by his first name and has no way of contacting him. Report taken.

5:10 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke in and stole her wallet, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park. Report taken for theft of $550 in cash.

7:30 p.m. – Caller reported losing his wallet on Main between 15th and 18th.

11:37 p.m. – David Wenford Gibbs, 39, and Jeremy Ethan Totman, 36, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Cited and released.

May 24

9:19 a.m. – Boat ramp entry at Thistle Creek Park, 47300 block of Quartzville Road, blocked by large slide of rocks and mud. Vehicles barely able to get through. A deputy checked the area and did not locate any additional slides. The slide was completely blocking the west lane of travel and the largest rock was about 3 feet thick and about 15 feet in diameter. The County Road Department responded and, when the deputy left, was determining how they would proceed to clear it or cone it off for the weekend.

May 23

10:37 a.m. – Caller reported someone broke into his truck and stole items from a locked canopy, between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on May 22 as he was out boating on Green Peter, Whitcomb Creek Park, 47700 block of Quartzville Road. Report taken. Stolen items were a portable battery charger valued at $65 and some running shoes valued at $10.

11:45 a.m. – Caller reported someone had poured gas all over the inside of his car between 4 and 7 a.m., 2000 block of Pleasant Valley Road. Caller said he suspected one of several ex-girlfriends. Report taken.

May 22

11:26 a.m. – Caller reported someone had cut some parts from his gate, where he has a tree farm, 39200 block of Highway 228. Caller reported the theft of a large logging block valued at $100. The owner located the block at a residence in Sweet Home and it was recovered by Sheriff’s Office investigators.The people with the block stated they had bought it at a yard sale. No arrests. Investigation continuing.

12:58 p.m. – Caller reported that a utility trailer was taken during the previous couple of days, 26300 block of Old Holley Road. Caller just noticed that it was gone, but believed it had been taken during the night of May 19 because he heard his dogs barking. He reported that he had no idea who might have taken the trailer. Estimated value is $1,500.
