11:34 a.m. – Caller reported that a male took batteries without paying, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Information noted.

1:49 p.m. – Caller found two dogs near Marks Ridge, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Dogs placed in kennel. Photo posted to Facebook. Animal Control notified.

4:28 p.m. – Nicholas Scott Warren, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on two original charges of third-degree theft and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, 13th and Main. Cited and released.

2:12 p.m. – David Paul Gruwell, 51, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Caller reported that a male made hot dogs and left the store without paying for them.

5:51 a.m. – Stormy Allison Batchelor, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, North Bend. Cited and released.

8:50 a.m. – Caller reported he was awakened by being beaten with a stick and Gatorade thrown on him, 700 block of 7th. Report taken for harassment.

9:19 a.m. – Non-injury crash, Wiley Creek and Locust. Report taken.

11:48 a.m. – Jose Manuel Cortes, 25, cited for driving while suspended, Main and Pleasant Valley.

1:54 p.m. – John Edward Birman, 70, arrested on Linn County warrant for first-degree rape, second-degree rape, third-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, second-degree sodomy, third-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sexual penetration with an object, 440 Osage St., Sweet Home Elks Lodge.

3:44 p.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 41, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene.

6:19 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle crashed into a neighbor’s tree, 1100 block of 26th. No significant damage to the property other than to the vehicle. A male and female, neither of whom admitted to operating the vehicle, advised they would move the vehicle shortly.

8:12 p.m. – Caller found a chicken bone in her backyard and the caller believes a neighbor threw it back there to injure the caller’s dogs, 1200 block of Cessna. Information noted.

8:14 p.m. – Larry Leroy Whitby, 56, arrested for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct, 1234 Main St., Downtown Lounge. Cited and released.

9:35 p.m. – Caller reported that a male got her underage daughter drunk and when she attempted to leave, he pushed her down, 4610 Main St. The caller was with her daughter outside the residence when she called. Another caller reported an underage female stole her alcohol, drank it and became violent. Officer responded. Parties were separated. The officer contacted individuals who advised that a juvenile female was consuming alcohol at a residence with her mother. Officer unable to contact the juvenile due to her current state. Investigation continuing.

Jan. 5

6:37 a.m. – Christopher Kirt Edward Kaufman, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft, possession of stolen property, second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree escape, Lebanon. Cited and released.

7:03 a.m. – Caller reported a hit and run, 26900 block of Old Holley. A blue and white 1988-98 Chevy truck went off the road and struck a guy wire to a power pole, causing the pole to crack. The vehicle left the scene. Report taken.

10:47 a.m. – Caller reported that the door on a storage unit had been damaged, 987 Nandina St. Information noted.

12:08 p.m. – Tianee Lee Levey, 20, arrested for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Stolen item worth $14.95 returned.

1:54 p.m. – Caller reported that residents were depositing trash into the creek, 1200 block of Wiley Creek. Referred to code enforcement.

2:15 p.m. – Lynette Irene Johnson, 39, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1000 block of Long.

1:58 p.m. – Caller found a key in front of the Post Office, 1300 block of Long. Placed in found property.

3:02 p.m. – Abandoned vehicle posted for removal, 1100 block of 22nd.

8:53 p.m. – David Duane Phillips, 62, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, 18th and Main. Cited and released.

9:09 p.m. – Gerald Lee Stroud, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and new charge of possession of meth, 18th and Main. Cited and released.

9:47 p.m. – Shauna Ray Harden, 24, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Chevron Station.

Jan. 4

8:06 a.m. – Caller reported that her mother-in-law started to drive away with her son in the vehicle, 15th and Nandina. Caller was able to reach through the window and grab the steering wheel. Then a physical disturbance occurred. The caller’s husband was able to get the child out of the vehicle. Second caller reported that her daughter-in-law hit her. Officer contacted all parties. Report taken and forwarded to city attorney for review.

8:45 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered an unlocked vehicle, 900 block of Nandina. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,026.

8:50 a.m. – Deputy assisted U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the removal of a hot tub and a boat hull from the Foster mud flat.

10:16 a.m. – Caller found a baggie with residue inside it, 1200 block of Main. Seized for destruction.

1:46 p.m. – James Cary Fennell, 46, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Lincoln County.

3:02 p.m. – Raymon Wayne Littell, 42, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of negotiating a bad check, Linn County Jail.

3:38 p.m. – Caller reported a wallet stolen, 900 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.

4:52 p.m. – Shawn Stanley Pruitt, 45, arrested misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1907 Willow St. Cited and released.

4:56 p.m. – Caller reported that a female was at location in violation of her release agreement, 1300 block of Sunset Lane. Report taken.

5:26 p.m. – Caller reported seeing two dog hides hanging on a fence, 2600 block of Kalmia. Caller believed that one of the dogs was seen alive the previous day. Officer attempted to contact the caller. No answer. Officer checked the area where the hides were reported hanging but didn’t see anything.

6:53 p.m. – Oregon State Police arrested Amanda Grace Howser, 43, on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft. Cited and released.

Jan. 3

9:04 a.m. – Caller reported a large dog in her backyard, 600 block of Mountain View. Dog belonged to a neighbor. The owner called and said the owner would send someone to get the dog.

10:29 a.m. – Caller reported a domestic assault that occurred on Aug. 5, 44200 block of Highway 20. Report taken.

11:02 a.m. – Caller reported his sister was out of control and throwing objects, 1700 block of 13th. Officer responded. Not a mandatory arrest. Report taken for harassment (domestic violence).

12:36 p.m. – Caller reported a minor non-injury crash in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer assisted in exchange of information.

1:42 p.m. – Kathrin Pauleen Bly, 46, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

2:57 p.m. – Kaleb James Elmer, 21, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, Philomath warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence and a new charge of possession of meth, 3133 Main St. Cited and released.

2:59 p.m. – Caller reported that a male customer handed her a note that said the female he was with had control over his phone and that she was defrauding him and asked the caller to call police, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate the male, who no longer lives at listed address.

3:52 p.m. – Jimmie Lee Barton, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

4:17 p.m. – Caller reported that someone attempted to break into the snack shack, Husky Field, and damaged some of the property. Report taken. Damage valued at $500.

4:24 p.m. – Jeffrey Duane Armstrong, 53, cited for driving while suspended, 2440 Long St.

4:43 p.m. – Robert Norman Fagan, 62, cited for careless driving and failure to carry current proof of insurance, and Jared Scott Swenson, 34, cited for following too closely and failure to carry current proof of insurance in a motor vehicle collision, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had reported a male in a White Ford F250 pulling out in front of him and slamming on the brakes, causing the caller to rear end the truck. No injuries.

10:57 a.m. – Jack Vance Townsend, 50, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:01 a.m. – Caller reported finding a confetti popper on her front porch, 700 block of Elm. Information noted.

11:08 a.m. – Sean Allen Simpson, 56, cited for driving uninsured and no license, Clark Mill and Main. Verbal warning for improper display of plates. License plates, 600 KJH, seized.

11:30 a.m. – Caller reported that a dog was out and then returned home, 4400 block of Long. Officer spoke to the owner, who learned the dog got out through a broken board in the fence. Owner will fix it.

12:16 p.m. – Tony Ray Roebuck, 23, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for probation violation and contempt of court, 15th and Main. Cited and released.

12:20 p.m. – Caller reported theft of lottery and other items, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Report taken. Loss valued at $64.56.

2 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle had been parked at location for more than three weeks, 100 block of 10th. Owner advised. Owner agreed to move the vehicle.

4:01 p.m. – David Melvin Buck, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 3133 Main St. Booked, cited and released.

4:13 p.m. – Ariel Shanea Kaping, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft of lost or mislaid property, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

4:15 p.m. – David Melvin Buck, 24, charged with felon in possession of a weapon, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Officer had reported finding knives on a prisoner in booking.

5:10 p.m. – Caller found a box with broken electronics and syringes, 1200 block of 23rd. Officer responded. No drug paraphernalia. Items placed in dumpster.

9:52 p.m. – Franklin Luster Cutbirth, 36, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 3137 Main St. A caller had reported a possible domestic situation involving a child, and another caller had reported that an intoxicated roommate broke her window.

12:43 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a crash outside, 23rd and Long. Officer responded and found a vehicle with multiple broken windows and all tires flat. Officer attempted to contact owner.

10:48 a.m. – Mark Aaron Lamb, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of reckless driving, Albany. Cited and released.

11:30 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of her husband’s vehicle, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken.

12:54 p.m. – Caller found an iPhone in her yard, 1200 block of 37th. Placed in found property.

1:05 p.m. – Shawna Jean Tidwell, 30, arrested on Linn County warrant for distribution of heroin, tampering with evidence and failure to appear on a citation and a new charge of possession of heroin, Wells Fargo, 15th and Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:12 p.m. – Caller found a dog running loose, 500 block of Elm. Officer placed the dog in a kennel. Linn County Animal Control notified.

3:05 p.m. – Andrea Michelle Gali, 37, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended and cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 700 block of Long.

3:35 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle, license plate 026 FCC, stolen, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

3:37 p.m. – Adi Wolfenden, 19, cited for speeding, 48 mph in a 25-mph zone, 1800 block of Main.

4:28 p.m. – Officer seized license plates, 303 GHL, from a vehicle, Fir Lawn Lutheran Church.

5:43 p.m. – Caller found a hub cap for a Chevy, 1700 block of Long. Placed in found property.

6:30 p.m. – Caller reported a broken window and holes in the garage walls, 1100 block of Elm. Report taken. Loss valued at $500.

7:06 p.m. – Caller reported that someone went through his truck, 1200 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.

9:54 p.m. – David Duane Phillips, 62, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

10:02 p.m. – Cory Leslie Lash, 30, cited for driving while suspended, 9th and Main.

2:41 a.m – Caller reported that she could hear people yelling outside, 800 block of Long. Officer contacted parties involved. One group reported subjects in a vehicle were yelling at them as the vehicle went by. The persons in the vehicle advised that they were being playful and meant no harm.

7:19 a.m. – Caller reported a backpack stolen, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Report taken.

10:55 a.m. – Michael Kent Pritchard, 70, cited for dog at large, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Dogs returned to owner.

11:12 a.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton, 25, arrested for theft by deception, 23rd and Main. Cited and released.

11:45 a.m. – Caller reported a child locked in a running vehicle, 4200 block of Long. Officer responded. Lloyd Rice Towing responded and unlocked vehicle. Medics checked the child due to heat being on in the vehicle.

12:08 p.m. – Ryan Joe Holley, 41, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Albany. Cited and released.

2:06 p.m. – Caller found a needle with a brown substance inside it, 2200 block of Main. Officer disposed of the needle.

2:11 p.m. – Officer located a loose dog, 5300 block of Main. Officer placed the dog in the kennel.

2:47 p.m. – Officer found a radio belonging to the Oregon Department of Transportation, 41200 block of Highway 228. Returned to owner.

3:47 p.m. – Caller reported that a male, who has a restraining order against him, was on her property, 1100 block of 55th. Report taken.

5:10 p.m. – Cody Isaiah Milligan, 21, arrested for fourth-degree assault and two counts of first-degree criminal trespass, 300 W. Holley Road, Stonebrook Apartments. Cited, held for detox and released.

5:20 p.m. – Elisha Marie Adams, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Linn County.

10:31 p.m. – James Andrew Linder, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon. Cited and released.

10:31 p.m. – Breanna Marie Mansell, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

Dec. 30

10:39 a.m. – Caller reported he had a husky on his property, 1600 block of Grape. Officer located owner and returned the dog.

1:18 p.m. – Matthew James Housen, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Stayton. Cited and released.

1:56 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle went into a creek, 300 block of Mountain View. Officer responded. No injuries. Minor damage to vehicle. No property damage. Driver error. Driver had vehicle towed.

2:07 p.m. – Officer located two stray dogs chasing a cat, 300 block of Mountain View. Officer placed dogs in kennel.

2:46 p.m. – Caller reported that a truck lost its load, 600 block of Main. Officer responded. Lanes cleared and no longer a hazard.

2:49 p.m. – Caller found a debit card at Key Bank, 1199 10th Ave. Placed in found property.

2:58 p.m. – Kenneth Lee Stiles, 17, cited for driving uninsured, 2400 block of Main.

4:05 p.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton, 25, arrested for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft, 1195 Main St. Cited and released. Caller had flagged down an officer to report a backpack stolen from a vehicle. Backpack returned to owner.

4:26 p.m. – Oregon State Police arrested Cheri Lyn Olson, 45, on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence. Cited and released.

4:41 p.m. – Michael Edward Potts, 65, cited and released in field on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court and cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Main and 22nd. Vehicle impounded.

5:38 p.m. – Mary Alice Nelson, 44, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of contempt of court, Northside Park. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:57 p.m. – Dustin Walker Lindner, 20, cited for no license and driving uninsured, 2405 Main St., Circle K.

Dec. 29

7:43 a.m. – Linn County Parks reported the theft of a large propane-powered generator, 47700 block of Quartzville. Report taken. Loss valued at $6,500.

10:15 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a gunshot from the creek behind her house, 2300 block of Elm. Officer contacted a male who advised that he shot a nutria. He stated that he believed he lives in the county.

11:53 a.m. – Deputy located a lock missing from campground gate, 51300 block of Quartzville. Bureau of Land Management staff working on a list of missing items. Report taken.

12:04 p.m. – Nicholas Allen Hornby, 22, cited for failure to renew vehicle registration, 2200 block of Main.

12:15 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle ran into the building by the ATM, 1400 block of Main. Report taken. Officer assisted with exchange of information. Minor damage to building and vehicle.

12:37 p..m. – Caller reported garbage, yard debris and lumber scattered around a property, 1200 block of 45th. Referred to code enforcement.

2:39 p.m. – Donna Ashley Claxton (Lyons), 25, arrested for disorderly conduct, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart parking lot. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male and female in a physical altercation.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported a garage door open at a vacant residence, 1100 block of Poplar. Officers checked the building. No one inside. Officers secured the building the best they could.

3:29 p.m. – Caller reported that someone attempted to set up an account in her husband’s name in Nigeria, 1200 block of 40th. Caller had already contacted the bank and reported the information to the Federal Trade Commission and credit reporting agencies. Information noted.
