Jan. 30

3:30 a.m. – Caller reported hearing several gunshots, Airport and 46th. Officer patrolled but was unable to locate.

9:58 a.m. – Caller reported finding a steak knife in the middle of the road, Long and 23rd. Caller brought knife to the Police Department.

11:14 p.m. – Nathan David Lewis, 20, arrested for felony fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and strangulation, 4830 48th Loop. Caller had reported her daughter, who is 8 months pregnant, was allegeedly being assaulted by her husband. Lewis transported to Linn County Jail.

12:01 p.m. – Caller reported tires on vehicle were slashed, 900 block of Poplar. Three tires slashed. Valued at $100. Report taken.

Jan. 29

5:07 a.m. – Jeffrey Louis Wodtli, 49, cited for noise violation, 221 18th Ave.

1:08 p.m. – Michelle Kimberly Ray, 21, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear and Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, near Post Office. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

Jan. 28

12:27 a.m. – Scott James Lutz, 41, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief (owes 10 days in jail) and charged with possession of meth, 300 West Holley Road., Stonebrook Apartments. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:58 a.m. – Donald Wayne Ames Sr., 48, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief and on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of disorderly conduct (owes five days in jail), 1111 Nandina St. Given conditional release on warrant for medical reasons.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported someone made unauthorized transactions on her debit card, 1700 block of Long. Report taken.

11:52 a.m. – Jason Wesly Brown, 39, arrested for fourth-degree assault, 1707 Main St., Les Schwab Tire Center. Cited and released.

8:55 p.m. – Caller reported two suspicious males in the area acting like they were casing houses, Nandina and Evergreen. officer contacted one male, who was not cooperative. Will patrol as time allows.

9 p.m. – Caller reported two subjects at location and was concerned they were attempting to break into a church, 400 block of Oak Terrace. Officer checked building, which was secure with no signs of forced entry.

10:33 p.m. – Tayla Esperanza Fick, 15, referred to Juvenile Department for runaway. Released to parents.

Jan. 27

8:01 a.m. – Caller reported that garage had been pried open, 1000 block of 12th. Report taken for theft of tools and auto parts valued at about $1,000.

4:19 p.m. – Dustyn Lee Barcus, 35, arrested for third-degree theft, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Approximate value was $2. Barcus also arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on an animal violation. Cited and released.

11:39 p.m. – Amanda Grace Howser, 37, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance, Hilltop Market parking lot.

Jan. 26

11:55 a.m. – Jason Riley Beasley, 38, arrested for menacing (domestic violence) and felony fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 4305 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:17 p.m. – Marvin Stanley Miller, 52, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance, 2200 block of 22nd.

Jan. 25

5:46 a.m. – Caller reported gasoline stolen from his vehicle during the night, 500 block of 17th. Officer took report for third-degree theft of approximately five gallons of gasoline.

10:46 a.m. – John Alan Cessnun, 41, arrested on Yamhill warrant for probation violation on original charges of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of recklessly endangering another, possession of meth and attempting to elude, 100 Main St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:23 a.m. – Caller reported that someone had driven onto the field just below the junior high school and damaged the lawn by cutting cookies, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High.

1:28 p.m. – Caller found some large tools in the intersection, Pleasant Valley and Main. Tools seized and placed in property.

1:51 p.m. – Caller reported that she may have had a prowler at her house the morning before, and today her house had been hit with paintballs, 600 block of Mountain View. Officer responded. No permanent damage from paintball. Information noted.

6:34 p.m. – Caller reported theft of approximately 15 firearms, 700 block of 28th. Officer responded and took report for first-degree burglary, first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.

8:33 p.m. – Alicia Marie Boatwright, 17, referred to Juvenile Department for runaway, Sankey Park. Released to mother.

Jan. 24

3:56 p.m. – School bus driver reported that a young female driver did not stop for flashing red lights, 1100 block of 15th. Letter sent to registered owner of vehicle.

4:18 p.m. – Caller reported a missing Taurus .357 revolver, 29900 block of Fairview. Report taken.

5:24 p.m. – Caller attempted to purchase an item on Craigslist.com and sent $866 via Western Union, 38200 block of Courtney Creek. He then realized the transaction was a scam, cancelled the transaction and contacted Western Union, which opened an investigation. No money exchanged or lost.

4:51 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her set of keys from one of her classes, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School.

7:53 p.m. – Caller reported that someone just attempted to reach into a partially opened garage door and steal one of his chainsaws, 1200 block of 40th. Officer did not locate anyone but would patrol extra as time allowed.

7:57 p.m. – Caller reported theft of two laptops and jewelry, 200 block of Nandina. Officer responded. Report taken.

9:20p.m. – Caller reported theft of a generator and set of tires from his back porch, 3600 block of Green River. Officer responded. Report taken for theft of items valued at approximately $300.

10:53 p.m. – Callers reported subjects with gas can just tried to steal gasoline, 1600 block of Elm. One caller chased subjects, and they got into a silver Saturn and headed toward Turbyne. Officer responded but was unable to locate. Callers not sure if any gasoline was actually stolen.

Jan. 23

2:32 p.m. – Caller heard her sliding glass door open. Just as she was going to call out, her front door bell rang. A male subject said he was looking for his cat. Caller was certain the male subject opened the sliding glass door and believed that someone might be looking for a place to commit a daytime burglary, 900 block of Oak Terrace. Officer responded and determined the subject was most likely planning to do a burglary.

2:53 p.m. – Caller reported a male entered the business, stole a patron’s purse and fled, 6305 Main St., The Point Restaurant. Officer responded. Report taken, suspect identified and officers attempted to locate suspect.

3:58 p.m. – Caller reported theft of Ruger Blackhawk .44 magnum, valued at $450, 28000 block of Riggs Hill Road.

5:45 p.m. – Donna Christine Lovato, 46, cited for driving uninsured with crash, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had reported one vehicle backing into another. One female transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital by Sweet Home medics.

6:27 p.m. – Luke Kenneth Buehner, 28, arrested for second-degree theft in followup from the call at 2:53 p.m. at The Point Restaurant, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

Jan. 21

3:51 p.m. – Caller reported a male passed out in a Geo Metro on Santiam Terrace in the wrong direction of travel. Medics arrived on scene. Subject was napping while waiting for someone. No further action.

Jan. 20

7:20 a.m. – Caller reported subject sleeping on the porch, 44100 block of Highway 20. Caller was watching the house for residents who were out of town. No one was supposed to be at the house. A deputy contacted a woman sleeping on the porch. Female was a transient traveling to Newport. Female moved on.
