7:52 a.m. – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle, 44200 block of Highway 20. Deputy spoke to the female owner of the trailer. She said she and her husband were homeless and living in the RV. Deputy advised them on the rules for camping in the area.
10:58 a.m. – During an unrelated investigation, a deputy found approximately 30 wood burls, 39900 block of Highway 228. The owner did not have the proper documentation for the burls and could not provide where they were harvested. The burls were seized for further investigation.

12:36 a.m. – Stacy Manuel Teixeira, 52, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Transported to Linn County Jail.
1:45 a.m. – Elias James Severson, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Jefferson County. Cited and released.
1:15 p.m. – Caller reported that a 74-year-old victim had been wiring money to an unknown person because she was promised more in return, 500 block of 43rd. Report taken. Loss estimated at $110,000.

12:04 a.m. – Echo Jean Tallerday, 38, arrested for driving under the influence and cited for open container of alcohol, west city limits. Vehicle impounded.
1:50 a.m. – Shannon Lynn Johnson, 37, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Cited and released.
8:18 a.m. – Brian Kirk Meier, 49, arrested for possession of meth, and Trudy Lynn Meier-Keller, 55, arrested on five counts of first-degree forgery, 13 counts of mail theft, computer crime, second-degree theft and possession of meth, 1551 12th Ave. Meier cited and released. Meier-Keller transported to Linn County Jail.
8:54 a.m. – Lisa Marie Jones, 55, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
8:58 a.m. – Frederick Wilkins Cadger, 50, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
9:58 a.m. – Caller reported that a 14-year-old female had cut her wrists and left the location, 18th Lane. A deputy located the female near White’s Park. She agreed to receive treatment and was transported to the hospital by her mother.
1:47 p.m. – Caller reported a possible mail theft, 2200 block of Long. Package was delivered to the wrong address. Subject at that location claims not to have the package. Report taken.
6:51 p.m. – Caller reported that a student at the Junior High, 880 22nd Ave., wrote a hit list and her son’s name was on it. School handled the issue.
9:49 p.m. – Eric James Valencia, 37, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of unlawful use of a weapon and new charge of possession of meth, 2200 block of Kalmia. Transported to Linn County Jail. A caller had reported a male and female yelling at each other inside a truck. Officer contacted two males who advised the argument was a minor verbal dispute with a female who had left the area prior to officer arrival.
10:41 p.m. – Britney Mae Herlein, 19, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, Sweet Home warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, Dallas warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and new charge of possession of heroin, 2200 block of Kalmia. Cited and released.
Jan. 24
8:01 a.m. – Vehicle towed as a hazard, 1000 block of 43rd. Caller had reported a vehicle with a flat tire parked in the roadway since the previous day. Registered owner notified.
8:36 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs in her backyard, 1100 block of 27th. Second caller reported her dogs got out but she was at work. She said she would pick them up during lunch. Officer responded. Dogs returned to owner, who was warned for dog at large.
8:58 p.m. – Caller found a dog while she was on a walk, 1200 block of Sunset. Police took custody of the dog. Animal control notified.
9:14 a.m. – Caller reported the a lawn ornament missing, 2600 block of Juniper. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.
12:37 p.m. – Paul William Kalina, 43, arrested for third-degree theft, Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of theft of services and Lebanon warrant for failure to comply and probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a male shoplifter running from location. Stolen items were valued at $27.98. Returned to caller.
4 p.m. – Andrew Cody Brown, 18, cited for no license, 610 Main St.
4:52 p.m. – Caller found a drill and nail gun, 12th and Long. Placed in found property.
5:18 p.m. – Caller reported that her granddaughter was receiving calls and texts from her father, who is not supposed to have any contact with her, 4600 block of Mahogany. Report taken.
7:39 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole the tow bar from his Jeep, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $500.
9:21 p.m. – Crystal Lanette Smith, 57, cited and released in field for providing alcohol to a minor, 5300 block of Poplar. Caller had reported an overdose. Female transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

9:35 a.m. – Caller found a bike on the side of the road, Mountain View between Juniper and Kalmia. Placed in found property.
9:51 a.m. – Melony Irene Shockman, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Albany. Cited and released.
10:19 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked on the street for four weeks, 1700 block of Long. Officer responded and spoke with the owner, who said he uses the vehicle from time to time and just parks it in the same spot. Officer advised him of the complaint.
11:57 a.m. – Caller reported graffiti on City Hall, 1140 12th Ave. Report taken.
11:58 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked on the street for more than four months, 700 block of Long. Officer contacted resident, who said the vehicle was broken down. Resident advised of the complaint, and the resident agreed to work on getting it out of the roadway.
1:29 p.m. – Caller found a black jacket behind Chewy’s, 1200 12th Ave. Placed in found property.

9:12 a.m. – Vehicle tagged for removal, 1200 block of 2nd.
9:49 a.m. – Ryan Logan Binks, 25, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, McMinnville. Cited and released.
10:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her son’s vehicle and stole his backpack, 1100 block of Spruce. Report taken. Loss valued at $20. Value of stolen school books unknown.
11:53 a.m. – Caller reported that she found a dog running loose, 500 block of Elm. Returned to owner. Owner warned for dog at large.
1:20 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his vehicle during the night and a set of keys was missing, 1300 block of Quince. Report taken. Loss valued at $5.
2:14 p.m. – Breanna Marie Mansell, 24, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 1195 Main St. Cited and released. Hyundai Elantra impounded. A caller had reported several subjects sitting in a green Ford Explorer in a parking lot. The caller was suspicious about an exchange between the passenger in the Explorer and an occupant of a red Sebring.
3:34 pm. – Caller reported that it appeared someone may have set up camp on her property, 1800 block of River. Officer responded. The camp was not actually on her property. Officer unable to locate anyone in the camp but did locate camping supplies. Officer left a note advising of the camping ordinance.
4:40 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered a dump truck and took a drill, 1500 block of Tamarack. Report taken.
4:41 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his vehicle, 1100 block of Redwood. Report taken. Unknown if anything taken.
7:31 p.m. – Krystal Lee Cowger, 25, arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person and cited for failure to maintain lane of travel in connection to a motor vehicle collision on Jan. 19, 956 Long St. Cited and released.
