July 15

1:37 a.m. – A 16-year-old juvenile taken into custody for three counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, minor in possession of tobacco, minor in possession of alcohol and third-degree theft, and a 13-year old juvenile taken into custody for three counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and minor in possession of tobacco, 300 block of W. Highway 228. Juveniles released to guardians. A caller had reported two juveniles attempting to break into vehicles. They triggered one vehicle alarm and fled on foot.

6:24 a.m. – Caller reported her husband’s car was entered and items stolen, 1200 block of 1st. Report taken.

July 14

1:16 a.m. – Report taken and investigation opened into the injury of a 9-month-old. Greenville Road.

3:45 a.m. – Phillip Groff, 21, cited for open container, 1st and Main.

5:44 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking the previous three nights beginning at 3 a.m. Officer checked the area. Unable to locate.

9:57 a.m. – Caller reported catching one dog while another loose dog remained at large, 200 block of Main. Dog placed in kennel.

1:32 p.m. – Julia Rose Trietsch, 32, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation and state warrant for parole violation, 18th and Willow. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller had reported a female acting strange and saying strange things.

3:37 p.m. – Christian Scott Barger, 21, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 2440 Long St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

5 p.m. – John Thomas Gordon, 48, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Deschutes County.

5:02 p.m. – Caller reported a male stole items, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken.

5:16 p.m. – Angel Sonato-Toche, 19, arrested for driving under the influence, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving, 4800 block of Main. Cited and released. Multiple callers had reported a physical altercation and a possible drunken driver.

7:50 p.m. – A camper returned to camp on Quartzville after exceeding the maximum time allowed, 44600 block. Deputy sent the camper on his way.

7:56 p.m. – Campers attempted to return to a camp site after previously being told to vacate it, 44700 block of Quartzville. Deputy sent them on their way.

July 13

3:29 a.m. – Roxanne Bode, 45, arrested by on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Yamhill County.

3:34 a.m. – A 15-year-old juvenile male taken into custody for unlawful marijuana item and runaway, 5900 block of Nandina. Transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center.

4:19 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking since 2 a.m. and the dog rarely barks, 1200 block of 40th. Officer contacted the owner, who took the dog indoors.

10:01 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle driving over road cones, Sun Lane and Highway 20. Report taken.

10:23 a.m. – Caller reported a theft, 27200 block of High Deck Road. Report taken.

12:15 p.m. – Caller found a debit card, 12th and Main. Placed in found property.

2:58 p.m. – Caller reported that someone smashed a window in her car and stole her purse, 1000 block of Northside Drive. Report taken. Stolen items valued at $125.

6:11 p.m. – Caller reported his son’s fishing pole was taken from his pickup on July 11, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken.

6:40 p.m. – Caller found a debit card and receipt in an ATM, 1199 10th Ave., Key Bank. Officer attempted to reach the owner by phone. No answer. Placed in found property.

7:23 p.m. – Caller turned in a phone he found during the morning, 300 block of Highway 228. Placed in found property.

7:35 p.m. – Deputy responded to a disturbance after jet skis in the area were creating large waves, hitting other boats and the dock, 43700 block of North River. One male stuck his hand out to distance himself from the other male, who was yelling at him. A second male reported the incident as a shove. Report taken for physical harassment.

8:10 p.m. – Caller reported an altercation with her boyfriend, who pulled her hair, tackled her and grabbed her throat, railroad tracks behind Dollar Tree. Report taken. Caller checked by medics. Not transported to the hospital.

9:53 p.m. – Caller reported that a dog entered the business during the fireworks, 1200 12th Ave., Chewy’s. Officer responded. Dog returned to owner.

10:40 p.m. – Justin Thomas Parker, 40, arrested for driving under the influence, Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and illegal display of license plates, Hilltop Market. Cited and released. License plates seized.

11:42 p.m. – Ryan Joseph Hutchinson, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charges of third-degree escape and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, 43700 block of North River. Transported to Linn County Jail.

July 12

9:45 a.m. – Caller reported a female was screaming and flipping people off as they drove by, 14th and Kalmia. Officer contacted the female and advised her of the complaint. She agreed to cease the reported activity.

12:09 p.m. – Callers reported a male kicking over several traffic cones, 1200 block of Long. Officer counseled the male for his actions. The male agreed to pick up all the cones he had kicked over.

12:29 p.m. – Caller found a stray dog, 1st and Nandina. Caller located owner prior to officer arrival.

1:29 p.m. – Caller reported fuel stolen from a farm building, 25300 block of Brush Creek. Report taken.

3:43 p.m. – Deputy located an illegal camp at milepost 23, Quartzville Road. The female occupant advised of the time limit and told to vacate the camp.

5:25 p.m. – Caller reported that someone scammed the store out of several hundred dollars worth of merchandise, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken.

5:51 p.m. – Deputy located an illegal camp at milepost 16.5, Quartville Road. No one was present. Depty left instructions on the door.

6:06 p.m. – Caller caught a husky running loose, 1300 block of 43rd. Dog placed in kennel.

6:11 p.m. – Deputy located an illegal camp at milepost 20, Quartzville Road. Deputy advised an individual to leave by the following day.

7:01 p.m. – Marc Noel Osker, 62, arrested on Lane County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:22 p.m. – Caller reported a dumpster dolly taken by a male subject, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken. Loss valued at $2,380.

July 11

11:48 a.m. – A 90-year-old caller reported she was attacked by a dog as she was walking down the street, 1600 block of Elm. Report taken. Medics treated the woman but did not transport her to the hospital. Officer to contact the owner and have the dog quarantined.

2:39 p.m. – Caller reported a bicycle lying next to his residence for about a week, 900 block of Nandina. Bike placed in found property.

4:15 p.m. – Harvey Michael Kapicka, 33, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

5:13 p.m. – Caller found a cell phone, 1500 block of Main. Placed in found property.

5:16 p.m. – Caller found a bicycle in her yard, 100 block of Highway 228. Placed in found property.

5:22 p.m. – Caller reported a male, against whom she has a restraining order, was leaving her messages, 4900 block of Osage. Report taken.

7:35 p.m. – Officer located a runaway juvenile, 1st and Main. Detained and released to mother.

7:44 p.m. – Caller reported that a loose Rottweiler that has been aggressive in the past was loose again, 1200 block of 55th. Returned to owner. Owner warned for dog at large.

8:54 p.m. – James Leroy Salvador, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1364 Main St., Dairy Queen. Cited and released.

11:12 p.m. – Skylar James Samson, 29, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree forgery, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

July 10

12:51 a.m. – Caller reported two males beating up her neighbor’s truck in the parking lot, 1200 block of 23rd. Males left when they saw the caller. Report taken.

2:37 a.m. – Spencer Dean Borthwick, 25, arrested for initiating a false report, and Byrone Patrick Lagerquist, 24, cited and released in field for improper use of 9-1-1, 1356 Elm St. Borthwick cited and released. A Linn County dispatcher reported to Sweet Home police that a male was repeatedly calling the business line, speaking aggressively and threatening to continue to call all night. Linn County dispatcher called back to report the male was calling 9-1-1 lines and refusing to stop until a deputy responded. Linn County dispatcher called back again to report another male was claiming to be assaulted by the other.

10:55 p.m. – Caller reported a customer brought in a fake $100 bill, 890 Main St., Towne Pump. Counterfeit bill seized and report to be forwarded to city attorney.

1:08 p.m. – Caller reported three juveniles on top of building, 1530 Main St., Santiam Drug. Officer contacted three juveniles and trespassed them from the property.

2:16 p.m. – Christopher Andrew Lee Hughlett, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of carrying a concealed weapon, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information and Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 22nd and Main. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

2:30 p.m. – Mary Elizabeth Wrayford, 54, cited for driving uninsured, 47th and Main.

4:21 p.m. – Caller reported finding a bicycle that may have been stolen. Bicycle returned to owner.

4:36 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle crash, 1200 block of 23rd. Parties exchanged information. Damage less than $2,500.

5:41 p.m. – David Edward McCracken, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Gresham.

8:21 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female yelling and cussing loudly, City Hall parking lot. Subjects were warned for disorderly conduct. They packed up and moved along.

9:04 p.m. – Larry John Follett arrested on Sweet Home warrant for first-degree criminal trespass and Lebanon warrant for probation violation and contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended, 1800 block of Vine. Cited and released.

9:11 p.m. – Caller reported part of a tree blocking the roadway, 9th and Nandina. Officer responded. Tree to olarge to move without assistance. Public Works advised.

July 9

12:17 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running in the middle of the roadway with no one around it, 1900 block of Main. Officer responded. Unable to locate.

12:21 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, 15th and Main. Officer unable to locate.

12:26 p.m. – Caller found a wallet, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Placed in found property.

12:29 p.m. – Caller reported a bedroom window was open and items were missing, 1800 block of Willow. Report taken. Loss valued at $979.99.

4:37 p.m. – Kendra Lynne Montoya, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for probation violation, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

4:59 p.m. – Caller reported that someone painted graffiti on the Green Mountain lookout radio door, 48400 block of Calapooia Drive. Report taken. Damage estimated at $250.

7:32 p.m. – Caller reported she believes she was scammed by a fake loan company, 1100 block of Juniper. She gave the company her Social Security number and bank information. Information noted at caller’s request.

8 p.m. – Tommy Joseph Burke, 40, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 1908 Willow St. Cited and released.

9:40 p.m. – Peter Seeger, 62, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 2000 block of Main.

11:32 p.m. – Shawn Stanley Pruitt, 46, arrested for felony possession of meth, distribution of meth, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended and Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of distribution of meth and possession of meth and for possession of meth, possession of heroin and felon in possession of a restricted weapon, 1200 block of Nandina. Tamera Krause, 57, cited for driving uninsured. Pruitt transported to Linn County Jail.

July 8

9:51 a.m. – Caller found a syringe lying by the entrance to Husky Field, 1012 22nd Ave. Officer disposed of the syringe.

10:33 a.m. – Caller reported a duck stolen, 40000 block of Crawfordsville Drive.

10:48 a.m. – Lisa Marie Jones, 57, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County.

11 a.m. – Caller reported a female sleeping in the parking lot across from the Public Library, 14th and Kalmia. Officer contacted the female and provided her with a courtesy transport to Sankey Park.

11:16 a.m. – Caller reported several items stolen from his residence, 1400 block of Meadowlark. Report taken. Loss valued at more than $1,000.

11:43 a.m. – Caller reported backing into a parked car, 1300 block of Poplar. Officer unable to get hold of the owner of the vehicle. Information left on vehicle for the owner. Report taken.

11:47 a.m. – Steven Scott Sims, 36, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Eugene.

12:23 p.m. – Caller reported that a fuel tank broke open and gasoline spilled all over the roadway, 1500 block of Main. Officer responded. Someone had already put something on the road in an attempt to clean it up. Public Works advised.

2 p.m. – Caller reported that someone keyed his vehicle while he was in the store, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s Hardware. Report taken.

3:17 p.m. – Caller reported juveniles were sitting on his fence and when he asked them to move, they damaged a “for sale” sign, 1800 block of Vine. Officer counseled the juveniles.

5:36 p.m. – Caller reported a female was sleeping in a neighboring field, 1900 block of 18th. Officer unable to locate anyone on the property.

6:26 p.m. – Caller reported her car was egged and two tires were slashed at Sunnyside Park, 44900 block of Quartzville. Report taken.

7:38 p.m. – Caller found a dog, 400 block of 4th. Officer responded and contacted the caller, who was no longer with the dog. Unable to locate dog.

8:44 p.m. – Randy Dale Ensley, 55, cited and released in field for misdemeanor driving while suspended and Justice Cout warrant for failure to appear on a citation, Linn Haven apartments, 23rd and Long.

9:52 p.m. – Amanda Leah Binks, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Albany.

10:05 p.m. – Caller reported a roommate took his vehicle without permission, 1200 block of Mountain Fir. Report taken.

11:31 p.m. – Linn County dispatch requested police assistance at a reported fire due to a conflicting story from the caller, 2400 block of Jefferson. Linn County called back with the address where the phone was pinging from. That phone had been used for prank calls in the past. Officer responded. No fire at location. Officer contacted residents at all addresses given by Linn County dispatch. No residents had knowledge of fires or 9-1-1 calls.
