July 28

8:21 a.m. – Caller reported a bike, a bike trailer and a backpack were left on her property, 4100 block of Osage. Placed in found property.

9:07 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running loose, 1100 block of 32nd Court. Dog placed in kennel, and owner advised.

10:46 a.m. – Caller reported that volunteers setting up a campground located a bag of bones, 3200 block of Main. Officer responded. They had located the remains of a dog, and the volunteers buried them again.

11:45 a.m. – Peggy Lynn Gibson, 56, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Salem.

11:49 a.m. – Andrew James Freitag, 18, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Albany.

12:18 p.m. – Caller reported a dog in a vehicle with windows cracked, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Officer responded. Dog was showing no sign of distress, and windows were down significantly.

12:57 p.m. – Caroline Regina Pearson, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1951 12th Ave. Cited and released.

5:29 p.m. – Caller reported a $150 headache rack taken from the caller’s residence two weeks earlier, 41300 block of Port Drive.

10:36 p.m. – Jennifer Chapman Cruz, 34, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft, 4300 block of Main. Cited and released. Caller had reported confronting a female who was attempting to take a bag of cans off the caller’s porch.

11:37 p.m. – John Burton Hamacher, 54, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

July 27

12:42 a.m. – Officer contacted a group of juveniles out during curfew, Spruce near 12th. Multiple juveniles referred to Juvenile Department for curfew violation and released to guardians and responsible adults.

2:51 a.m. – Stacy Diane Stafford, 47, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of placing an offensive substance in water, on highway or property, 1115 Long St., behind Sweet Home Emergency Ministries.

8:51 a.m. – Ryan Wesley Sechrest, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver, 12th and Long. Cited and released.

9:02 p.m. – Report taken for offensive littering on the caller’s private property, 48500 block of Highway 20, Cascadia.

9:05 a.m. – Angela Faye Baird, 32, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for child neglect, 800 block of 3rd.

10:37 a.m. – Caller brought in a bag of drugs, 2300 block of Long. Seized for destruction.

10:40 a.m. – Caller reported a male and female appeared to be doing drugs in the bushes, 4200 block of Main. Officer found evidence of marijuana use. Male and female left location.

11:59 a.m. – James Eugene Mobley, 35, arrested for assaulting a public safety officer, resisting arrest, Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 12th and Nandina. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:10 p.m. – Caller reported a dog in his yard, 2900 block of Jefferson. Officer responded. Dog returned to owner.

5:36 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog cornered him while he was getting mail, 4200 block of Long. Officer contacted involved parties and warned the owner of the dog. Dog was being taken to another location.

6:39 p.m. – Caller requested a welfare check on a homeless male lying on a hot sidewalk, 2400 block of Main. Officer unable to locate.

7:38 p.m. – Caller reported a small dog sitting at the caller’s front door, 900 block of 12th. Dog placed in kennel and then returned to owner.

11:16 p.m. – Multiple callers reported hearing shots fired, 41600 block of Shady Lane. One involved party was detained and questioned. A second party was identified. During the incident, the vehicle attempted to elude Sweet Home Police Department and hit a telephone pole, causing damage to both the vehicle and the pole. Report taken for attempting to elude. Investigation ongoing.

11:34 p.m. – Caller reported hearing car doors opening as if someone was in the carport going through vehicles, 1300 block of 45th. Officer response delayed by previous call. Officer checked area. Unable to locate.

July 26

10:16 a.m. – Caller found an injured deer that may have needed to be dispatched, west city limits. Officer responded and dispatched the animal.

12:36 p.m. – Caller found two loose dogs, 2nd and Highway 228. Dogs placed in kennel. Linn County Animal Control notified.

2:05 p.m. – Caller reported property stolen during the night, 2200 block of Tamarack. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,300.

3:09 p.m. – Konane N. Leslie, 25, cited and released on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Main and Clark Mill.

3:32 p.m. – Amanda Marie McDowell, 24, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth, possession of heroin and a criminal citation, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth and a criminal citation, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Clackamas County warrant for probation violation on original charge of delivery of heroin.

4:25 p.m. – Caller reported approximately six dogs in a maroon car, 4900 block of Main. Unknown if windows were down. Caller could hear them whining. Officer unable to locate the vehicle or dogs.

4:51 p.m. – John Mark Taylor, 39, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Albany.

5:46 p.m. – Eric Raymond Shipp, 44, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of resisting arrest and three counts of failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

8:24 p.m. – Blaze Lavern McCormick, 46, arrested on a state warrant for parole violation on original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; Albany warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal trespass; and Sweet Home warrants for second-degree criminal trespass and first-degree theft, 2210 Tamarack St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

8:43 p.m. – Officer assisted a medic with an uninjured female who slid down an embankment and couldn’t get back up.

July 25

4:36 a.m. – Kyle Alexander Richards, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and two counts of failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass, two counts of possession of meth and a criminal citation. Transported to Linn County Jail.

7:47 a.m. – A 44-year-old male committed suicide, 41200 block of Upper Calapooia Drive.

12:49 p.m. – Officer located a stolen vehicle, 500 block of Surrey Lane. Eugene police and victim advised.

1:27 p.m. – Laryssa Jean Cox, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and Lebanon warrant for probation violation, 2293 Long St. Cited and released.

2:09 p.m. – Caller reported her 11-year-old son stole $15 from her, 1600 block of Elm. Officer counseled juvenile for his actions.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported a male violated his restraining order, 3100 block of Main. Report taken. Information to be forwarded to district attorney.

2:41 p.m. – India Spring Hathaway, 33, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for contempt of court, 700 block of Long. Caller had reported two small children riding in a vehicle without car seats. Officer found the vehicle parked upon arrival. The children were in proper seating. License plates seized. Owner of license plates advised.

4:36 p.m. – Caller reported falling victim to a phone scam, 1800 block of Grape. Information noted. Caller advised of options.

5:03 p.m. – Caller reported a dog appeared to be in distress, Poplar and Foster Dam Road. The caller was unable to see it but could hear it. Officer located two dogs outside a nearby residence but could not locate any dogs in distress.

5:35 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor got into the middle of dogs and was bitten in the process, 43000 block of North River. The bite did not break the skin, and the caller did not wish to provide any information. Information forwarded to Linn County Animal Control.

6:17 p.m. – Caller reported being verbally harassed by two males, Kalmia Street bus stop. Parties agreed to stay separate. One person was intoxicated during contact with the police officer. He was advised of his no alcohol order. Information forwarded to city attorney.

7:18 p.m. – Officer seized plates for safekeeping, 3031 Main St., Sweet Home Gleaners. Officer left a message with the owner of the license plates.

9:30 p.m. – Hunter Areil Ringheimer, 25, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, Sweet Home warrant for fialure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, 13th and Long. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:53 p.m. – James Cary Fennell, 47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Lincoln County.

July 24

12:12 a.m. – Ashley Kay Miles, 30, cited for driving while suspended, 2400 block of Long.

12:58 a.m. – Shane William Wells, 43, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of criminal possession of rented property, Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to report as a sex offender and failure to appear on two criminal citations and Linn County warrant for probation violation and failure to appear and cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended, Highway 228 and Fern. Robert Lee Drafahl, 67, arrested on state warrant for parole violation and cited for no license and driving uninsured. Both transported to Linn County Jail. Two vehicles impounded.

8:22 a.m. – Caller reported a motor home parked on the street, 4000 block of Osage. Posted for removal.

9:11 a.m. – Caller reported a dog running in the roadway, 3000 block of Main. Officer contacted a passerby who said he witnessed a vehicle intentionally hit the animal. Officer checked the area but unable to locate the dog.

9:22 p.m. – Joshua Scott Dawson, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Linn County Circuit Court warrant for probation violation on original charges of possession of meth, first-degree criminal trespass and menacing, 1800 block of Tamarack. Transported to Linn County Jail.

10:51 a.m. – Caller reported an older male who appeared to have a head injury bleeding heavily and in need of medical attention, 1400 block of 47th. Report taken for assault and menacing. Male went to hospital in personal vehicle.

12:21 p.m. – Caller reported a dog in a vehicle and the windows were not rolled down, 2000 block of Main. Officer responded. Owner was with the dog upon arrival. The dog had water in the vehicle and was not in distress.

12:46 p.m. – Caller reported a female appeared to be injecting herself, 2000 block of Main. Officer contacted the female, who was applying medical cream to poison oak.

2:28 p.m. – Caller reported that a male speeding down the street hit a neighbor’s fence and mailbox, 500 block of Surrey Lane. Report taken. Information exchanged prior to officer arrival.

3:45 p.m. – Caller reported items missing from her grandmother’s house, 4100 block of Osage. Report taken for burglary and theft. Loss valued at $1,150.

4:22 p.m. – Caller reported an item taken from the store, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken.

6:11 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor speeding on the roadway almost hit her child and wanted the male counseled,1900 block of 20th. A second caller reported a neighbor’s children sitting in the middle of the roadway. The adult male then walked out in front of the driver’s vehicle attempting to stop and being verbally aggressive toward the caller. Officer counseled both parties.

8:13 p.m. – Caller reported a loose dog, 900 block of 28th. Officer unable to locate.

9:19 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog cornered him while taking out the trash, 4200 block of Long. The neighbor brought the dog inside. The caller requested the neighbor be counseled. Officer responded.

9:27 p.m. – Felisia Kay Pecue, 28, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for driving uninsured, 1111 Main St., A&W. Cited and released.

July 23

6:04 a.m. – Caller reported a can machine was damaged, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller wanted information noted.

6:26 a.m. – Steven Allen Jones, 29, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, Linn County.

8 a.m. – Caller reported a female sleeping in a doorway, 1195 Main St. Female trespassed from the property.

10:47 a.m. – Nicole Ann Cooley, 35, cited for improper display of validating stickers, Clark Mill and Main.

12:46 p.m. – Caller reported a husky was running loose and killed his chicken, 1100 block of Tamarack. Officer unable to locate. Caller advised to contact police again if the dog returned.

1:19 p.m. – Tracy Leanna Mullins, 45, arrested on Albany warrant for contempt of court and cited for driving while suspended, west city limits. Cited and released.

2:04 p.m. – Cody Isaiah Milligan, 22, arrested on Albany warrant for second-degree criminal trespass and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of fourth-degree assault, Wells Fargo. Cited and released.

2:52 p.m. – Caller reported her grandson’s bicycle was stolen, 3100 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.

2:57 p.m. – Zachary Guy Richmond, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

4:31 p.m. – Caller reported two large dogs running loose, 800 block of Mountain View. Officer unable to locate.

9:29 p.m. – Robert Kenneth Lafollette, 37, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Albany.

9:52 p.m. – Caller reported a homeless male Dumpster-diving with stuff spread out on the ground, 1100 block of Long. Male gone upon officer arrival.

July 22

8:46 a.m. – John Andrew Mance, 31, cited by Department of Corrections on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief.

9:15 a.m. – Caller reported catching two stray dogs, 1000 block of Wiley Creek. Officer located the owner and warned her for dog at large.

10:06 a.m. – Caller found a stray dog in the parking lot, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer contacted two subjects who said they knew the owner and were willing to take the dog to the owner.

10:29 a.m. – Richard Huffman, 31, arrested for possession of meth and on an outstanding drug-related warrant, 28700 block of Highway 20.

1:53 p.m. – Caller reported a Safeway shopping cart loaded with conduit next to the “Welcome to Sweet Home” sign, Highway 228 and Fern Ridge. Public Works assisted in transporting the property.

3:11 p.m. – Caller reported a bullet sitting on a fire hydrant, 2400 block of Main. Property seized for destruction.

4:07 p.m. – Tessa Marie Pimentel, 20, cited and released in field for misdemeanor driving while suspended and cited for speeding and failure to install an ignition interlock device, near Sun Lane and Highway 20.

5:27 p.m. – Earl Ryan Dodge, 25, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, 1200 block of 12th.

6:27 p.m. – Caller reported that somebody broke into a shed and stole items, 5500 block of Poplar. Report taken.

8:25 p.m. – Caller reported dogs in a vehicle with the windows barely rolled down, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer responded. Animals were not in distress. Officer planned to check on the vehicle later to see if the owners returned.

10:39 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking nonstop for more than an hour, 1100 block of Ironwood. Officer checked the area. Dog was barking and free roaming inside a fenced area. No one appeared to be at home. Information noted.

11:21 p.m. – Jordyn Leigh Hanna, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Salem.
